@alexaysonfire - yup. couldnt have been more right than that lol. The only way a dual exhaust would be necessary is if there are 2 cyl heads such as in a V6 or V8. Each cyl head would get a single header that would lead out to a muffler, unless theres an X pipe in place for resonance

it seems that way cause theres 2 exits, but no. with a single exhaust the pipes are more straight, making it a lot easier for the air to travel through the exhaust. since the car is an inline 4cyl the dual exhaust has one pipe that suddenly hits a dividing point where the air has to split to make it out of the dual exhaust. picture this as what im say, heres a dual --------<. now heres a single ---------O

@davidzzz94 yeah it does, but gives you less torque, these 4 poppers need some back pressure and with dual exhaust your going to lack that, but you will gain slight high end power

@jeffcon123 well, those exhaust u call "fart can" are just a few brands like greddy, magnaflow, skunk2, buddyclub, those are the loudest with that bee sound if u rev in high rpm, doesnt sounds very good but on a few cars it sounds good, search for Buddy Club CRX, theres a vid on a bridge, and for my opinion, everyone should make his car like he wanted to, i hate those people who call other peoples cars "RICER" but with ur word "fart cannon" ur probably one of them...

@Jak3Mac Not really, & if u watch any s2k two step vids u can also see flames popping from both tips, its science. Gas trying to escape will find any avenue to leave. Thats why back pressure is so important for exhaust. I also use to be an auto-tech for a honda dealership...

@gearsofyourmom S2000s come stock with a split exhaust. Honda engineered it that way. If it lost it back pressure, Honda would have designed it with a single pipe exhaust. As long as you have a cat on it, you'll still have plenty of back pressure.
