GTR's are garbage, I work in the service department wont say the dealerships name of course, but i can tell you that i have seen far to many of these in the shop for everything besides maintanace, the main problem with the car that seems to pop up alot is inside the transmission(very expensive parts). Cant say the same for the new 370z that car is a rock just like the 350z(2005 and on). If you want detailed info let me know.

a Z06 is cheeper, has better feul econamy and, and is faster then the GT-R. Also i think the Vette looks better, I'd love to by a corvette but i would never waste my money on the GT-R and that is final

@tomagotchii first off the GTR is not even an iron block so don't expect it to reach crazy levels like a 2jz supra or RB26 or LS9 ZR1 iron block. The LSX iron block is rated to withstand 2500hp btw...

z06 being a car that keeps up with 100k cars & isn't anything but fast, and is door to door with the GTR in a 1/4mile!? hmmm. There's no other explanations other than the computers. IMO I'll choose to take pride in my own power to moderate launches, shiftiing, breaking & etc :-)
The gtr its not a drag car! its more a circuit car with loads of corners. There is were it shines. The z06 its a mutch better car in terms of drag, but i dont think it could keep up with the gtr in the corners. But dont get me wrong the z06 handls well but not as good as the gtr. Peace

wrong gtr has a better jump start but then the zo6 will always catch it in the 1/4 mile but after that the gtr has the zo6 in the last gears cause the zo6 cant keep up that pace of increase

To simzimma GTR is not more reliable or faster than a Z06. If you use launch control in the GTR your transmission will fall appart and you will void your warranty. Zo6 is easy to mantain and more reliable as well.
you don't need to use launch control to go fast. granted the gear box wasn't great in version 1, but the uprated version 2 is more refined and reliable :)
the GTR is more technological than the Z06, not knocking the z06 as it's a decent car, but the built quality in comparison to the GTR is nothing.
It's fiberglass and carbon fiber. They don't feel as solid as metal, no, but... they sure weigh a lot less :)
Not quite sure why you think the GTR is cheaper, it has always been ~ $10k more than the Z06 market rates, thanks to being a much newer car with a much lower supply.
Granted, I don't know anything about prices in the UK, but as of recent times the U.S. price gap has just jumped to a whole different category.
2009 Z06's can be had for <65k out the door due to oversupply from a struggling manufacturer in a recessed economy, whereas NNA just raised the price (for a second time...) on the 2009 GT-R to ~$90k. $25k is definitely food for thought.

Z06 just looks cheap. And the back is real thin, so much you can just push it and it bends inwards, hence made of plastic.
GTR looks and feels more solid, it is more solid, plus cheaper. :)

put both cars side by side, the nissan looks alot better, interior too.
