  • I can see the testing of the blade, but I was wondering, in your next vid demo, could you possibly show , your defensive/offense stances your using for these parrys-stabs-slashes-setup cuts etc..thanks. (intro by Urban prepper) will Sub yah Crocket20. cheers ;-)) From N.CanadaBush

  • ...seeting a new standard in knife testing...Well done, and VERY brave with out gloves! Thanks for sharing!!

  • I would hate to be a cardboard box

  • I wouldn't have the nuts to do that, I would just worry that the lock would fail on me and I'd lose my fingers..

    Entertaining vid nonetheless, thanks Crocket!

  • pathetic waste of time. karen

  • @cougarbahia And yet you still left a comment.

  • @Cr0cket20 this is very impressive, where (how) did you learn all these cool techniques?

  • @acrocanthosaurus4 During my martial art studies. What a great time that was. Try to keep up on the skills when time permits.

  • @Cr0cket20 awesome, thanks for sharing! by the way, I own a clash and love it.

  • @cougarbahia You are not a very intelligent person Karen, cardboard is extremely inconsistent and an amazing test for knives, edge retention, blade tip strength etc... But then again if you were not a hateful person you probably would have read the video description to begin with so. Keep up the great videos Crocket, good stuff here.

    Zach.

  • Great video brother. Everyone i know always likes to pick fun at the fact I make funny noises when i train! haha

  • Awesome thanx for the info!!

  • Cool test Crocket! My mom also has a black, plainedge clash, and is also involved in Kempo! I'll link her to this!

  • Sweet test Crocket and fun too. Have you tried the wooden dowel wrapped in cardboard and duct tape for arms? That was fun back in the day as well. Happy New Year!

    Nate

  • @CdnLifeguard71 I've tried something very similar. In fact on the bigger of the cardboards taped to the wall I drilled holes in the sheetrock just for that. I need to play with it some more to get it to work properly.

  • Cardboard 0; Crocket 1,873 (I counted)...Dash

  • I did not know that duct taping carboard to a wall and then stabbing it with a knife could be so much fun? A good way to work out your knife. Happy New Year!

  • Hamburger chest

  • I don't know whay the hype is about your vid...this is how i cut my pizza! hahahahaha! on a serious note, very nice bro. I admire the disipline.

  • @mizooch70 LOL!!!

  • The Crocket Dojo! Cool stuff look forward to the review.

  • CARDBOARD BOXES BEWARE!! Seriously, I hope that you and your family - particularly the newest editions are well. Happy New Year.

  • @TheLegumMagister Thank you. And to you as well.

  • Great vid! I wish I could train with knives like that. Too bad I'm broke.

    Keep it up!

    MusicalWeasel

  • @MusicalWeasel Ah, hence the value of this blade. Kershaw Clash - $23-$26 depending on where you get it. Have a review coming up.

  • Narley

  • Before the boogie man goes to sleep each night, he checks under his bed to make sure CrOcket20 is not there......well done man!

  • I was going to challenge you to a knife fight, but I think I'll let it slide for now. ;^p

  • Just wondering if you ever wear a glove with testing knifes like this? That would suck to have it malfunction and close, or tip to break off when cutting... Good video!

  • NUTS

  • Wat kinda camera you using on your tripod?

  • @Eraseallhope JVC Everio GZ-HM50. The battery it comes with SUCKS. So I used the original as a backup and purchased a big one for it. The camera is adequate. It has it’s strengths and weaknesses. Basically it’s an entry level HD camera and you get what you pay for. Still shots or slow panning is great quality. Fast panning or action, HD footage is not so good.

  • Mexican Army training video?

    ;-)

  • 2 thumbs up for the Kenpo speed! You were making me nervous when your cover hand started to creep out a bit. I've cut myself several times doing just that but I love when martial artists train with the real weapons that they carry every day. There is no substitute for that. Keep up the good work!

  • @Erinyes25 Thanks man. Hope the cuts weren't too bad. That's one thing about working with a knife like that is the serious possibility of cutting oneself. That's another reason the film is nice. Helps to pick up those areas of needed improvement. I've got lots : )

  • wow, loving this, as some mentioned, would love to see some segments slo-mo in post production, and commentary dubbed in or something. Great skills, bro!

  • Hahaha ninja. That looks fun man. I always think about gettin into a hobby like that. You're obv the man hahaha.

  • @SezMan716 Lot of fun. I have much practice though to get to where I should be.

  • i feel bad for anybody that pulls a knife on you! cool video

  • Oh shit, watch out guys, this guy is a badass.

  • Nice to see someone actually practicing knife techniques, instead of just doing 2 hour "reviews" of high performance blades that live in a drawer.. :-)

  • You are very fast with the knife great video

  • FAST! Which reminds me, I need to get off this couch!

  • ...nifty idea, amateur stikes...keep it up tho!

  • That's one way to recycle your cardboard!

  • Cool vid I'd like to see more like this.

  • LOL you such a spastic flicking this knife around..

  • Brother that is a can of wip- ass. ha,ha.

  • Nice testing and I'm sure this helped some of those Christmas Blues bro! Glad to see the focus is still there. Keep up the great work!

  • Loving the double time speed up. LOL

  • @TacticalHadoken Nothing sped up. What you're seeing is all real time.

  • Awesome video Crocket! Fast and deadly moves. Those little tipp flicks could be very annoying to the opponent! :)

    -hunter

  • @HunterRyngo Ah, so cool you get that! That's exactly what it is for. Just to pick away at the opponents hand (or whatever they present). I see it like chess. The little flicks are like taking the pawns first.

  • I know its not sped up but its so freaking fast it seems like that.

    Holy crap.

  • just throwing this out there but uh this video just reinforces how much a BA you are.. saddly never got past the bamboo stage when I took taekwondo for 3 years when I was 8 lol

  • Damm that's a quick hand nice job

  • You better slow down or you'll work up a sweat. I find this interesting because I can't do it. Just how fast are a person's hands. This is truly an art. I for one will look forward to seeing more of it from you. Thanks and take care. God bless

  • Please tell me you didnt carve the Christmas Turkey the same way? : )

  • Iv never liked cardboard either

  • @beast12101 Cardboard...who needs it anyway with its box like corners.

  • I'm sure I'm not alone in saying we want to see more of this and perhaps some explanation of what you're doing in stages and then sped up. Don't be too modest Crocket, you'd be surprised how many of your subscribers are interested in this :-) Take care, Ben

  • Fast hands bro

  • My shoulders hurt just watching. Lately, they've been falling out of their sockets when I've just been sitting here, watching TV, let alone working them out like that. Enjoy it while you can!

  • @sabr686 I wish you well my friend.

  • Great video.. I think I would like to have seen how you hold your knife,, perhaps why and the benefit for doing so. Seems like a loose grip and a person might slide their hand over the blades edge.. major ouch! Also.. are you "going" for vitals or are you making a clear "back off buddy" by only making small cuts?

    Just curious..

Thanks for the great vid. What knife was that btw?

  • @markshmily Kershaw Clash. Vitals and back off buddy - both. It's kinda hard to see that on just the cardboard. But the small little flicks are the back off. They're designed to pick away at the opponents hand or whatever else is presented.

  • @Cr0cket20 Ahhh interesting! =D

  • Happy 200th vid!

  • like wow

  • Mad skills!

  • hell ya! fast as lightning

  • Practice makes perfect

  • Pretty serious testing! You have some speed there brother!

  • dang you are wild crocket...

  • -one with your speed can be quite effective with a blade

  • Sweet video. People laugh off the concept of self-defense with a blade but some

  • honey im stressed again im gonna go stab some cardboard ill be back in an hour LOL

  • Crocket blends knife fighting and origami.

  • @jackjetpilot Haha. Part two you will actually see the swan start to take shape from the cardboard ; )

  • @Cr0cket20 lol

  • Just hope the other guy isn't Indian Jones :)

  • @ArtisanTony Did you know that scene was supposed to be longer, but Harrison Ford was sick so they cut out the fighting?

  • @retsaoter That's what I have heard also. They found it worked so well in the movie they left it. I also heard the sword guy wasn't too happy because he had trained and trained. That scene is a classic one.

  • @retsaoter No I did not know that. I learned something new :)

  • Good stuff man!

  • hey bro, you look like your taking out some frustration. hope all is well brother

  • 0:00 to 2:13 - Beast

  • man crocket you're insanely fast! well done. i think if i would try, i would have cut myself lol. and then my viewers would make fun of me haha

  • "he hates these cans! Stay away from the cans" or in this case cardboard

  • @hempseedaddict Hahahahaha, I need to watch that again, it's been years. I think I was young enough too when I watched that much of it went over my head.

  • Dude, do they always ask you to carve the turkey at holidays?

  • @Iam1uglyguy They don't let me anymore. They say their is no need to stab the turkey.

  • @Cr0cket20 LMFAO!!!

  • @Cr0cket20 Boo thats half of the fun of carving it.

  • Man I'm outta breath after watchin' this : )

Looks like a good workout, blade testing & practice. Curious to hear feedback on tip strength & edge sharpness after these tests. Good stuff brother

  • Thats fast--lets see that in slow-mo---Cool stuff

    Keep "Livin' Outdoors"!

  • That's some beastly knife skills Crocket. I would like to see how that blade held up.

  • That is a pretty quick jab, were you a boxer? My crooked nose gives my experience away.

  • @jambiyaSlaughter Studied martial arts for some time. Boxer huh? That's pretty cool.

  • @Cr0cket20 Yeah. I was no good. I did it because prior to mma wrestlers were called gays in high school.

  • Bruce lee aint got nothing on Crocket20. LoL

  • @JustifiedForce Oh I don't know about that ; )

  • what form/style did you train before? very crisp movements.

i practice kali/arnis, though i love all blade styles

    great work sir

  • @dnasplice AKKI Kenpo.

  • interesting to see a kata with a "real" target, and not only with a mock blade and training partner. great vid.

  • @PaiRaiUno Thanks. I do find it tough to work on a flat piece of board. It would also be nice to move around some as one would normally do. However, it's about as good as I can get with what I have...and I had LOTS of fun : )

  • Thats the Kershaw Clash AO? I have the original. What a tip!

  • @survivalist911 Kershaw Clash it is. In testing now. So far so good.

  • Nice testing Cr0cket20

  • @guns4funca Thanks. Had fun doing it.

  • what knife is that?

  • @1226dragon Kershaw Clash.
