  • Awesome man that helped and saved LOTS people. He is a living legend.

  • I encourage you all to read his autobiography, "An Ordinary Man", after watching the movie, to see events in his perspective. In the book, he mentioned that the violence in the movie was in fact "toned down", saying that no one would be able to stomach what he saw during the genocide if it was shown on big screen. It is humbling to know that there will always exist good men who stand up to what is right and courageously say "NO" to evil even in the darkest of days.

  • Long azz name. Longer living legend. Nothing but love

  • Paul Rusesabagina you are grate........wishes for all ur family, hope they are fine

    i watched Hotel Rwanda.....

    crok from India

  • Respecyed Paul Rusesabagina...you are grate... I watched Hotel Rawanda..all the very best regards from

    crickets from India

  • RUSSABAGINA!

  • Isnt that a bit funny... He received a award for saving thousands of lives from non other then US president Bush... a man personally responsible for so may deaths.. dont get me wrong, Paul Rusesabagina is one of the gratest people i have ever heard of...

    Paul Rusesabagina - Oscar Schindler

I hope you and your family live a good , long and healthy life Paul.

  • I saw "Hotel Rwanda" I hope Paul Rusesabagina is getting all the respect and love he deserve!

  • I'm friends with his son, Tresor, and I know his family. He IS a hero and he is of the most humble men i've ever met. Those who have said things against this man have either no idea what they are talking about, or they have ulterior political motives. Kagme has made attempts on the lives of Paul and his family numerous times. All detractors claiming he has hijacked his heroism are false, as he is still an active participant in multiple Humanitarian Causes.

  • He is the best man on all world. I can say only one word Thank You Paul and I'm white,

  • How comes u don't ask the 1220 people he "saved" to testify? The brightest crook in genocides history.

  • maybe he is not a world wide hero because he is not white, But when are we going to learn that not matter what coulor or race you are God doesnt care as long as you re good, If you dont follow jesus steps, even if you are maybe he is not a world wide hero because he is not white, But when are we going to learn that not matter what coulor or race you are God doesnt care as long as you re good, If you dont follow jesus steps, even if you are .

  • @2stringguitar. coulor haha canadian!

  • @bmancbomb01 or mexican possibly

  • paul is a hero way among musicians or anything....for me a hero is someone who could be labelled as normal but does the extrordinar...he is a great man and should be a hero to all.....thank you paul

  • True hero. I have been written a lot of him, all u guys should read about him, not only watch hotel rwanda. The world is too evil..

  • In my opinion, it doesn't matter if he is taking more credit then deserved or not or if he has been made into a hero (even though i believe he deserves all the credit he gets). All that matters is that around 1,200 refugees were protected in the Milles Collines. He had an inspirational movie made about him, so what? Worse things have been done, even if he didn't deserve it, and there are more important things to focus on right now in terms of Rwanda.

  • Election is coming where are Rwandans for REFORM!!!!

  • By "there are..." I meant that it would be more useful to address today's conditions in Africa than argue about whether or not Rusesabagina was truly as heroic as he was portrayed in Hotel Rwanda. By serious, I meant urgent

  • By "there are..." I meant that it would be more useful to address today's conditions in Africa than argue about whether or not Rusesabagina was truly as heroic as he was portrayed in Hotel Rwanda.

  • People, Rusesabagina's family was not massacred. They survived the genocide. And one other thing, whenever a man is called a hero, everyone else starts to get jealous and accuse him of "getting more credit than he actually deserves." This man is a living legend, yet we bash and curse great legends. Same thing with MJ, everyone cursed him, and when he died, people remembered his greatness. Rusesabagina was a man with principles, but some people are too jealous to acknowledge that.

  • @Thomestecles You cannot compare MJ to Paul Rusesabagina, that is like comparing him to Mandella, MJ wrote some good msongs, then it all went wrong and he touched kids, his music was still good though. Paul Rusesabagina undoubtedly saved hundreds of lives through his actions, and he never touched no kids, the two are uncomparable, one is a true hero, the other touched kids and turned white cuase hes rascist...

  • I talked with several credible Rwandans about the truth of the situation. These guys weren't under any political bias and I'm grateful for having gotten to know them while spending time in Rwanda. According to them, Paul accepted more credit than he deserved. He was pushed by the UN to make his "heroic" decisions for the good of other people (like keeping people in the hotel and using the pool to sustain them). There are definitely more serious things to investigate in Africa besides this man

  • "There are definitely more serious things to investigate in Africa besides this man " : what do you mean with these words?

  • This man deserves all the credits and rewards he got, and even more...

Even IF he was pushed by the UN to take this "heroic actions" he still risked his own life for the sake of others. I dought that many ppl can do what he did. Humanity can be so stupid sometimes, like you, airhead.

  • his family wasn't massacred. Paul Rusesabagina, his family, and 2 nieces live in Belgium

  • Paul Rusesabagena. Fucking brilliant man. Too bad there aren't more of him....

  • he lived in london uk from 2000 to 2004 and was claiming asylum. unfortunately it was rejected and he faced deportation. his whole family were massacred in 1999 by hutu militia. i hope he is safe as i dont have any contact with him. he is a peaceful man and i wish him all the luck.

  • ... his family wasn't massacred. He's living with them in Belgium.

  • Sorry, being stupid there, thought you meant Paul.

  • my friend lawrence mogishu was deported back to rwanda in 2004. i hope and pray he is alive and well and reunited with his sister.

  • He is a hello. he did what he can do in his capacity. kagame's propaganda will not change the words of witnesses. let the truth be told .

  • There are a lot of culpable people living Rwanda who want nothing more than to bury the past and their role in the genocide. They want Rusesabagina to shut-up about it. Rusesabagina was forced to leave Rwanda due to the death threats.

The hotel survivors of the genocide have testified to the veracity of what Rusesabagina has done as well as the military commander in charge in Rwanda at the time.

  • Correction of my last post. 2nd paragraph, last two lines: The hotel survivors of the genocide have testified to the veracity of what Rusesabagina has done as well as the U.N..military commander in charge of Rwanda at the time.

  • if he didnt have evidence they would not have beleived him ill bet u the people who say he is a liar are probly the liars they just jelous they didnt do what he did

  • The fact that an international renown humanitarian like Paul is being denounced by people he saved tells so much about the intentions of Kagame's regime. What is Rusesabagina's fault? being Hutu or asking Kagame to face justice for crimes he committed. But a senior Tutsi official has already been arrested by Germany. That is what Rusesabagina has always been saying. We must bring an end to impunity. I hope kigali's regime does not kill this noble guy

  • i can't belive the peoople who paul saved are lying about him thats just mean really mean

  • There are Wikipedia articles and other sources on the facts. I suggest people that really want to post something well concluded, try some.

Always keep in mind that the facts are there, but you can only discover them using sources. *choosing* sources is totally subjective, either you see the movie, listen to Mr.Rusesabagina speak or read youtube comments.

The one fact we can all agree upon is the death of many people under multiple excuses of people guiding blind armies.

    Keep that in mind.

  • he is an incredible man.

  • incredible man? Instead of calling this man a hero, people should find out what really happened in the Milles Collines Hotel under his supervision and presence. What ever president Paul Kagame said about him is the truth and shouldn't rediculed because he is completely right.

  • And what happened there? do you have any proof? and documents? Please copy your links here below... :)

  • yeah for real what are you implying that he did there? just because this president says something it doesnt mean it's true

  • You're really ignorant.

  • that is just the way wars start...name calling and misunderstandings
