2004 Department of Energy report: Opening up Alaska (on and offshore)will bring down the price of gas 3.5 cents a gallon in 2027. Oil companies are not even drilling on the leases they have now. Why should they? They are making record profits and when the 2 additional carrier groups get to the coast of Iran oil is going way up and they can drill for it then when it is worth more.
