Trey, I really enjoy how you try to share _feeling_ through the things you share and create.

It's interesting, because I've never really thought of doing that with things like video, photos, or drawings and paintings, though it's something I definitely practice with writing (I often go against writing conventions if I feel it communicates more, since that's my goal: communication; expression is just the medium).

I am appreciating seeing creative things in this new way. :)

I don't know how this can be considered racist, but I will say this. Last I heard it was illegal to take a picture/video of a girls skirt in Japan on the street due to issues with upskirt photography. Perhaps this has changed, but I would be careful there.

@daethon You can take pics and video, just if they get mad, you show them and delete it. Some will ask you gently in japanese "Why?", some girls will be pleased with you taking photos.

Trey, if you don't mind what areas did you do most of your shooting? I recommended you check out Kichijōji and Inokashira Koen (within walking distance of each other) Kichijoiji is a very popular street vendor / shopping location and very photogenic. Inokashira Koen has some of the best Cherry blossoms in Tokyo. There is a tended forest next to Inokashira that is like stepping into a Hayao Miyazaki film.

The charge of "racism" is nothing but noxious slander which can be safely ignored. Perhaps a more culturally-informed viewpoint would be to see this as a cinematic instance of "chōjū-jinbutsu-giga". Also, the hot-spring bathing behavior of the Japanese Macaque may be a fairly recent innovation by this species (observed for the first time in 1963).
