I have very similar statistics for age groups as you... I think styles and content like: shanedawson/coughlan/sxephil attract more of the younger crowds.. Noticeably there has been drama/conflict between coughlan and a host of users on here, this is what he does on here, but as you and him have disagreed on a variety of things, I think there are still some things we can agree with him on, whether that's important or not, just being realistic.

I've listened to the whole "Case for Faith" audio book. I loss less hair than "For a Creator", but still terrible. I'm sure you can find it too so you don't have to painstakingly read it if you want. Then you can engage them again. :D

I had one nutty lecturer at Uni stating that religion/spirituality helped people heal, well didn't I put her in her place. Mind you she failed me for that unit (spirituality in nursing) but I won in the end after I complained about her and her attitude towards atheists. She got the sack and I got my degree.

I don't really pay attention to it all but I'm glad people are realizing tf00t isn't as bright of a guy as people think he is. I realized this a while before he said stuff about Muslims. For the vast majority of the time it was a civilized discussion, there was no control by one side. And it went on for over 5 hours. Have you ever tried debating someone that long? Yeah they both got frustrated at times. Again thats gonna happen in a 5 + hour period when you have major disagreements with someone.

I do think part of the problem was Landon didn't forcefully defend his own ideas and seemed surprised to be challenged on if he thought his points really mattered or not. But your right TF shouda avoided that part of it.

I was born and raised one of Jehovah's Witnesses, and what really turned my eye to science was Dawkin's "Growing Up in the Universe" series. (NOT his 'attack god/religion' books/videos.) His original videos impressed me with the beauty of science and knowledge, and exposed to me the Watchtower's misrepresentation of evolution as "just being mere chance".

Awesome! It's great to see Tfoot getting back to his roots. Those are the videos that helped me step away from religion in the first place. Why do people laugh at creationists videos are some of my favorite on the interwebs and are my go-to videos when I want a refresher. I can't wait to see what he comes up with in the future.

In fact, in so far as the effect exists at all, it is an entirely cultural one - woman grow up being told they aren't interested in maths & science, so they believe what they are told and stop reading about it. Subscribing to TF00t in lower numbers != "not interested in science".

@lilcheevous. Excuse me, I am a female and I hate all forms of religion and their so called gods. I had one nutty lecturer at Uni stating that religion/spirituality helped people heal, well didn't I put her in her place. Mind you she failed me for that unit (spirituality in nursing) but I won in the end after I complained about her and her attitude towards atheists. She got the sack and I got my degree.

Disappointed in your discussion with Dlandon. The people wanting you to talk to Dlandon wanted you to go there in a mood receptive to criticism so you could weigh up without bias. They wanted you to listen, but instead you were highly defensive and cut him off almost every sentence. We didn't want for you to try and take control, and score points. For the vast majority of the time it was a civilized discussion, there was no control by one side. And it went on for over 5 hours. Have you ever tried debating someone that long? Yeah they both got frustrated at times. Again thats gonna happen in a 5 + hour period when you have major disagreements with someone.

In the first few minutes he said all of Dlandon's criticism lacked any substance. He doubted his motives throughout, and would hardly let him finish a sentence. This is not how you honestly seek out valid criticism. The whole thing was a pain for him, he just did to appease the crowd. I'm sorry, but I expected more.

I do think part of the problem was Landon didn't forcefully defend his own ideas and seemed surprised to be challenged on if he thought his points really mattered or not. TF may have been testing Landon to gage his opponent. In any case in my opinion it got better as it went along and I do think TF is better off having addressed the points that where raised. But your right TF shouda avoided that part of it.

Yes I did capitalise 'English'. And I'm correct in doing so. It's a noun and it's capitalised when used of the language and the people. But not capitalised when used in: english breakfast, english garden wall bond.
Also 'French' (as in the language and people). But: french windows isn't capitalised.

I was born and raised one of Jehovah's Witnesses, and what really turned my eye to science was Dawkin's "Growing Up in the Universe" series. (NOT his 'attack god/religion' books/videos.) His original videos impressed me with the beauty of science and knowledge, and exposed to me the Watchtower's misrepresentation of evolution as "just being mere chance".

Awesome! It's great to see Tfoot getting back to his roots. Those are the videos that helped me step away from religion in the first place. Why do people laugh at creationists videos are some of my favorite on the interwebs and are my go-to videos when I want a refresher. I can't wait to see what he comes up with in the future.

If the content is good, links get passed around, if it isn't good then they don't and asking people to do it anyway will just make them cross. You have 100k subscribers, so I think you can assume your content is good (at least amongst the middle aged male demographic), I think you would do best to be happy with that and just go back to what your good at.

If you wanted to tread where no atheist has dared to tread before, make videos that reveal the objective truth of science, shining a light upon the erroneous arguments of religion without -- and here's the unique bit -- feeling the need to indulge in petty name calling, condescending snickering or outright insults and offensive language.

In fact, in so far as the effect exists at all, it is an entirely cultural one - woman grow up being told they aren't interested in maths & science, so they believe what they are told and stop reading about it. It is the same effect that leads to men being worse communicators - you aren't you know, not biologically . Anyway, who says women are less "interested" in science? Subscribing to TF00t in lower numbers != "not interested in science".

And besides, what does "Darwinian" mean? Do you mean "biased, overly-liberal, evolution-based anti-creationism and anti-christian" by "Darwinian"? If so, then no. There is no answer for you here. If not, then you should also look for a "Newtonian" or an "Einsteinian" explanation. And definitely a "Freudian" one ;)
