Damm for such a pioneer in Alternative rock music....they have finally outlasted their popularity. Looks like , they have become the next Soundgarden and Smashing Pumpkins to have each their end of their career for whatever reasons.
@afpm7 No doubt - Throwing Copper had not a single bad song. It's one of the few that came out in the 90's that you could listen to any song, anytime and get sucked in.
@0AllForNaught0 Everything from Throwing Copper on is great . Don't believe what record sales and the public say is good . Listen to it all for a time . If you can say that they were a great band once , you will love the rest of it.
@trustinme26 and thank god for that because they took a giant nosedive. I used to love LIVE but man they're music changed big time. I hope Ed continues, his vocals are very unique
wow! he Looks SO GOOD in this video lol... and as always sounds amazing... i saw live counting crows and collective soul on tour and let me tell you live was the only one who rocked the stadium....
what the hell is vocal phrasing and bad falsetto Ed? Hmmm, not like they used to be "Live". Yea, He could of used a megaphone for this song. That would of sounded better.
when he first opened his mouth and sang "it was an evening i shared with the" (sounded like the record), but after that it was downhill. that was about the only good vocals for this performance. i'm a huge LIVE fan, but this shit sucked! the music was good, though
I got agree with you. This was not one of his best versions of Lakini's juice But I heard Ed singing this song since 1997 till now. Sometimes he changes the style of the song where it really sounds great and sometimes so and so. Maybe he was burned out for singing it so many times Listen to different versions of this song. You'll see that he kicks ass in general.
Where can you find that??? I posted the Heropsychodreamer performance from SNL in 97, but I can't find this song, and the DVD that I had it on was damaged.
Have seen them live 4 times now. Still the best song I have ever seen performed on stage by any band. Nothing beats it. It's a wild, wild few minutes.
I still vividly remember how Ed Kowalczyk guided me to that creative inferno in 1992 with Mental Jewelry. The album cover attracted me -- a burning cross in the background with Ed folding his arms and seemingly letting go all the angst, pain, and separation of a disenchanting world. But once that music played in my ears for the first time, it became infectious. Along with U2 and STP, they're genuinely authentic. There's no one out there who sounds like Live. Spiritually uplifting lyrics.
This group is in a class all their own.The sensitivity of Ed in interviews leads me to believe that they are all spiritually based w/some type of belief.Does not matter what it is because they go for your gut words say it all for me.I love Eddie Vedder and Chris Cornell as well and that intensity in in them also...No comparisons just good music.....
This song is awesome. I saw LIVE in '06 at House of Blues; they played for at least 3 hours, and they were having such a great time together, and sounded awesome. One of the best shows I've ever seen of anyone.
fuck yeah man, i saw LIVE in Milwaukee, and they were awesome, and my dream guitar is acctualy a jaguar too man !!!!!!!! he used that guitar there, and i was like " DAMN, HES USEING A JAGUAR! FUCK YEAH ! "
i dont know man. i liked old ed (still kicks ass) but he's lost that real aggressive voice he use to have and sounds like more of a singer. do u guys know what i mean by that?
I think that's because real attitude reflects in music. I think in the old days he really was pissed off about something. But now he has everything he wants and is content - so that reflects in his voice, even in the angry songs.
Dang ed. You jacked this awesome song up right thurr. Lol

yeah thats true, don't know why i didn't think of that, still it would be nice for just one more angry ed album in the future.

And I'm sorry, but Ed's little brother should not be playing with a little shaker during Live's darkest, heaviest song.
