What makes you think they're even two different groups of people? That's what "Al Qaeda" is... the name given by the CIA to its own database of Islamic radical operatives. If you're talking about the Taliban though, then yes they did oppose and shut down the heroin while in power.

I was a Cheney / Bush man then after 9/11. I remained so.
Then I Iraq WAR happened then I found out that they did not have any thing to do with it. Then I looked into the 9/11 BOMBING.
That 's how I formed An opinion.
