I played the beta on PC, and I must say that when used correctly and appropriately the 870 is easily the best CQB weapon early on with extended mags, hope it stays that way. Nice footage!

the shotgun doesn't have loads of range, its just cause in cod shotguns have really bad range, but in real life a shotgun shell can kill someone from more than 15ft

I use the shotgun as well, except with the "holographic" and tactical light. I only get about 5-8 kils a game, but once i got 11(lol) but really, i don't understand how the game has only been out for 3 days, butnive seen a level 44, but hes probably like a level 60-something now, but, overall, i wont say IT sucks, I suck is what the problem is. If anyone has this game for PS3 hit me up as choppy-chapa

I`m used to having useless shotguns like in cod but once I started playing this it all changed. I equip my bad boy with a red dot and slugs. I snipe motherfuckers!!! CQC aint no thing either. When the spec ops trailer for MW3 was released, the first 75% of comments were, "this looks like shit!" , "BF3 is way better" and it actually pissed me off.

Even though there are no killstreaks, there are still vehicles, and those can be pretty damn annoying.

Annoying yet, but not overpowered. Vehicles depend on the player driving them. That simple. You won't get headshot 15 times by a guy in a tank.

MW3 has its strong sides dont get me wrong, fast paced action, great graphics (BF3 too) with gun game modes.

I do think BF3 is more balanced and encourages people to work together a lot more.

once you get the flachette rounds its gets really good.. once your level 5 the shotguns gets a standard magazine upgrade to 7 rounds, and the red dot sight is great once its unlocked.. using the sprint ability makes you dead in CQ's.. im running the shotgun like you Krahu and i have to say its perfect.. its not OP or UP..

@Daemeon93 BF3 is definitely not realistic. It's awesome, and presents a battlefield, and realistic gun mechanics. But far, far from a realistic pace or the level of engagement seen in real combat. You never go up and stab enemies/take their tags on a regular basis. You also next to never have an open engagement where you can openly see the enemy running in front of you. Real urban combat consists of 90% or more covering and concealment tactics.

@drspicy0925 It's most certainly the game, along with how people play it. The game mechanics allow you to make quick assaults through city streets, which is not possible in reality. The game also allows for a single person to operate tanks.

Again the pacing IRL is much slower. Troops will be behind a single point of cover for hours just maintaining a supply/fire line to keep enemies from progressing. The game's going to be awesome for what it is. Arcade FPS with realistic animations and guns.

@varnlestoff Yeah, but what I think people mean by realistic is that it's closer to the real thing then most in it's genre. You do have to bare in mind that this is a fps, which to a point need to have those high volume moments where it surpasses realism. All games are going to do this, and the ones that don't are shooting for a smaller audience. All in all, every game WILL have it's flaws and be far from perfect, it's just a matter of over looking that and enjoying the gameplay as a whole.

I love the BF3 beta so far. I found a fair bit of lag (and judging from the video there is a little bit of lag on your screen too with the delayed death animation and the names of who killed who ect. If you're playing on PS3 want to squad up? ^^
