This movie isn't as popular as all the other (Black) Slave movies due to the fact that this film is completely RAW and paints a vivid picture of what our ancestors REALLY went through...It's extremely descriptive and most of scenes show valid causes of the effect of the present state of the Black American race. I give thanks to those that took the transcripts/book and made it into picture! Well done....
I'm not saying that everyone should bow to every black person and act like we are better than everyone else. I just ask for a little R.E.S.P.E.C.T!!! I gladly live in "THE NOW," and I do understand that every race has been a slave at some point in history. The difference is, everyone respects any other culture's tragedies, except that of the African/Black race. Personally, I believe that no one wants to believe that people can be "THIS" cruel, but we must face the reality that it's a sad truth.
Wow; I've read all the comments up until now and I must say that yall are some idiots and SuperObvioustroll strikes me as one of those Uncle Tom Slaves we saw in this video. I'm so sick and tired of people acting like slavery is a made up event and that black people have no right to say anything regarding it. The Jewish Holocaust gets more respect. The Indian "Trail of Tears gets more respect. Were is our respect? Even our own people try to sweep these event s under the rug. It's so shameful!!!
The only thing they really didn't touch on for me would be they way the slaves and masters treated slaves of lighter skin, that is a hard topic for me too, even still in Louisiana the darker skinned African Americans hold this grudge against us lighter skinned or (yella) or (red boned) African American and it all comes from slavery that's hurts me too cause I have dark skin friends who say things like for a high yella Chick u cool, and I'm like y I can't just cool for a chick,
I'm from Louisiana and this documentary did exactly wat it was meant to do, to bring u in and show u wat its like, its even harder to watch this living here n Louisiana b/c if u ride thru certain towns, these plantations and these slave houses from way back then r still standing, and they turn those plantation homes into museums and take tours but I have yet to see a tour that walks thru wat the slaves day was like, I have never cried like I cried my first time walking in side of a slave house
@mbclab60.... and if you really want to be profound, no one really "Owns" land as a matter of fact no one really "OWNS" anything.Every human ancestor was a slave at some point so stop living in the past and move on with your life.
NOTE: Egypt means "bondage" or "slavery", and "buy" as it's written in this verse means "redeem" or "save". For instance, if I had a fruit stand and I needed to sell the fruit to someone who would properly consume it, but no one buys it for proper consumption, instead men steal the fruit, and cast it in the streets, what happens to the fruit?! That's what happened to these people.
@SuperObvioustroll I cannot believe this comment even came out of your mouth, head, or whatever. You must not have been to the ghettos of America. Welfare is a joke. Welfare is the same thing that Uncle Tom Ass Negro was talking about, when he was ok with being a slave just becaue he was worth $2000. Welfare is a catalyst for destruction, as is the ILLUSION of success. Think before you speak Sir, before you embarass your race any further.
@Neany360 I never said I was OK with welfare you stupid fuck.I'm not on it because I work for a living. No one makes anyone get on welfare it's their decision and a very stupid one BTW I grew up in slums father gone moms a fiend lived with my Grandma and I decided I would break the cycle."Embarrass my race" Fuck you I don't speak for my race, I speak for myself and only myself.
@Neany360 Great points made...I pray that our lost Brothas & Sistas WAKE UP, see the true problem and come up solutions to save ourselves. The only way we can save our own is if we remember where we came from, who we are, and what they did to us....EVERY single tactic that the White man used on Black slaves still exist in the genetic memories of present-day Black Americans. we must begin to reverse the it and move forward...The fight is far from over...
@SuperObvioustroll If it's, supposedly, reparations for blacks, then, why do more whites get it? and WHY do white women benefit the most from Affirmative action? Fuck outta here...
@myklmusic Lets take care of the past before we worry about the present. How you can you point the finger at a black preacher before you even deal with the cruelty of the slave masters? Lets not take the focus off the real issues. Reparations have nothing to do with tithes. Wow, the things people say.

Reparations will NEVER be enough for, LITERALLY, being treated like animals. NOTHING can EVER make up for this.

Reparations should be secondary to the accounting for several hundred billion dollars collected and hoarded by black preachers in Amerikkka.
What would reparations mean if Black Folks don't demand full accounting for tithes?
Irresponsible is irresponsible.
Where is the money?
