Wouldnt this be considered a Rover engine since its a meteor? Sorry, Im not completely clear on the engine manufacturers, though I have a clear idea in my head that The meteor tank engine was produced by Rover after they got the engine from RR.

Thats not a rolls royce engine, it is in fact a rover engine, if it is a metoer, its the tank engine made by rover from the rolls royce merlin designs, the main differance being the lack of a supercharger. The egine would have been made at Lode lane where the Range Rover is now made

These cars were hand built to last unlike the junk rolling off the production lines today. Should you own and run a RR in the UK back then and it broke down, the RR company would come out to the car and load it IN TO an enclosed truck taking it back to the factory for free repair.
