  • This was the movie which got me hooked on horror flicks ! I was only 10 when I watched it on tv , biut could never forget it ! Thank you so much for uploading this gem !

  • I have an old padlock just like that, one good hit with a hammer it will open, the key hole is as big as my ex mother-law's ass hole so it can easily be picked and opened

  • omg ive hunted high & low for this film! i could only remember a story about a strangler called dominic , & here it is! thank you for a classic upload!

  • this is still one of my favorites. The commentary on the DVD is excellent.

Bit of trivia- Christopher Lee is reading his own copy of Lord Of The Rings in "sweets for the sweet". Ironically he was many years after this movie cast as Saurauman in Peter Jacksons LOTR movies.

  • I'm so glad Hammer Horror are back. I'd like to see Matt Smith star in a Hammer Horror.

  • hammer time!

  • Christ, was Denholm Elliot *ever* young?!

  • I love this, thanks for posting. great to see old style horror, with out too much blood or guts:)

But why,oh why don't these folks run away when they hear the spooky music playing. its a dead give away that this house is haunted.!!!!!!!!!i would bolt if i heard that music !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you, you cannot see this anywhere.

  • thank you for posting this classic 1970's horror flick. marvelous.

  • Lee-Cushing: enough to make me watch

  • The "Dominic" segment scared me when I was a kid. :)

  • I became a horror lover because of this movie ! I still remember watching it on tv , alone in the dark . I was only 10 and got terrified ! I loved the plot , the eerie atmosphere , so different from the so-called horror movies that have been released lately ! " The house that dripped blood " and " From beyond the grave " are truly incomparable gems that I´ll always treasure !

  • where do they find these houses?

  • I expect you are not from UK or you would know that this style of house is quite common across the UK.

  • @Starhawk62

No I am not from the UK but I have visited ENGLAND ABOUT 6 TIMES. I LOVE THESE OLD HOUSES

  • It's Marcus Brody from the Indiana Jones films!

  • what's this movie called?

  • @jamimcmurray3 ~ I guess the clue to the title of the film might be with that rather large blood red 'THE HOUSE THAT DRIPPED BLOOD' title at the start of the movie.

  • @jamimcmurray3 ~ I guess the clue as to what this movie's called might be with the opening title sequence in huge blood red colour saying "THE HOUSE THAT DRIPPED BLOOD"

  • @ goodbyelonglive44

but you don´t have to be married to "have someone to fuck all night" as you gently name it

  • Thanks so much for uploading this....love these British horror films from the 60's and 70's. I love that house, wouldnt mind living there at all.

  • The inspector played the creepy ventriliquist/magician in the dr who classic, "The talons of weng chiang".

  • @greyhounds777 Don't forget Jon Pertwee played the third doctor.

  • I think the one main flaw with this movie is that they say the hosue is the thing responsible for all these terrible incidents, but it never really feels connected to them. They say it bases itself on you're personality and treats you accordingly, but it always seemed the people had problems before that just got worse while they just happened to be there. Still a great horror movie though. It's refreshing to see a great English horror film to stay away from all the poor remakes we do here.

  • why must the first story in this kind of films always be about a strangling murderer who has especaped from the nut house"?

  • This is a great movie , I have never forgotten it even though I was only 10 when I was I watched it . Thank you so much for uploading this Amicus´ treasure !

  • I din't think they paid Bob very much for his screenplay -- he once told me, "I think Amicus is Latin for cheapskate..."

  • You can tell it's the early 70's when the solicitor showing them round asks the woman if she's like to see the kitchen!!! I'd have said, why on earth would I want to see the kitchen :-D

  • @veganbikergirl

and he would have answered:"well, maybe because this will be your f***ing home, and i guess you´d like to see it before bying it hmm, "vegan bike girl?l"

  • thank you for posting this i haven't seen this movie in years and i been wanting to see it again.

this is one of the best horror film. all the movies with Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing are great.

  • @mightgai17 Don't forget Jon Pertwee is also in this..

Both Jon Pertwee and Peter Cushing were the Doctor from Doctor Who.

Jon Pertwee is a great actor too, even tho he is more well known for being the third Doctor here in America. He still has his fans, and I'm one of them. LOL.

  • @WarshipAngelus Peter cushing played the doctor in dr who ?? when was that i used to watch it on t.v. as a kid and dont remember him playing the doctor.

  • @tonymontana1974

There were two Doctor Who movies made back in the late 60's when the first Doctor was still around. Peter Cushing played the first Doctor in the two movies.. If You watch the second movie, You'll notice the different color Daleks already around even back then and wasn't something new in the new Doctor Who series.

  • @tonymontana1974 Cushing did not play THE Doctor... He had a TARDIS, but he was not a Time Lord, he was an inventor whose actual last name was "Who:: He was not supposed to be the William Hartnell Doctor, even though the movies were adapted from the TV episode "The Daleks" and "Dalek Invasion of Earth". (I have no idea why the producers chose to do this.)

  • @GoblinXXX Wow. Me and my pal always lament the fact they never seem to acknowledge Cushing. Cheers.

  • @WarshipAngelus Pertwee is actually my favorite Doctor.

  • thank you thank you thank you!

  • FANTASTIC!!! I can't remember ever seeing this one. Thanks for the upload!!

  • The Solicitor's name is Stoker! Don't you just LUV it!!!

Is that a Triumph Spitfire? And who cleaned that house? Surely not milady.

    .

Thank you for posting this - I have never head of the House that Dripped Blood, and I can't wait to dig into more! Many, many thanks.

  • The Inspector needs to investigate the disappearance of his hair

  • @DreMacHall ha hah

by the way its only when you have a wife you can sucseed in everything you do.,.you see why? because then you dint have to disrupt your work for getting short breaks, that turn out to be long, because when you work so hard all day, you will have someone to fuck at night...there is nothing quite like working all day and fucking all night..dont you think? but only for 20 years, because after that she is too old..but then you would have writtern hell of a lot of books..

  • @DreMacHall LOL!

  • Does the inspector have a comb over? thanks for posting!

  • @jennmooney I think it might be a comb forward ;)

  • It's Marcus! Marcus Brody, Dean of Students at Marshall College.

  • great movie, thanks for uploading.

  • My no.1 VERY favourite film of all time

  • theres nothing to compare to these ENGLISH horror classics by the amicus studios . they also made the other ENGLISH 1970's classics . tales from the crypt . vault of horror . dr terrors house of horrors . torture garden . etc

  • @dec222222 YES CANNOT HATE THE BRITISH...

  • @dec222222

So true....i grew up watching this stuff on the creature feature late night shows.

  • @dec222222 I couldn't agree more, these together with the Hammer Horror films. They're just fantastic. I grew up watching them. Excellent stuff!

  • @dec222222

yes they were so good at making ENGLISH 70s classics that they managed to make dr terrors house of horrors in 1965!

they never seem to repeat the seens when roy castle was smoking tho..

  • @dec222222 Hello , i need your help to find back a movie ! I'm looking for a movie with a shopkeeper selling items that are cursed ( i only remember this part : Shopkeeper sells a mirror to a person and that mirror keeps asking that person for Blood ''Blood , i need more blood '') Sorry for my crappy English and THANK YOU !!

  • @Budhabe The movie you are looking for is FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE which is another Brit Amicus Production from the early 70's. It stars Peter Cushing and David Warner.

  • @Budhabe the film you are looking for is called " From beyond the grave " the clip is actualy on the right as you look posted by bvseediermedia5 part 1/10 running time 10:00 mins

  • @dec222222 You are so right, but the objects weren't cursed "per se"; as the antiquair realizes that the clients try to take advantage of him, (by changing the price tag, as one did), that's when they get "the special treatment". Love this movie!!!!

  • @dec222222 ENGLISH MUFFINS

  • Watching this about a month ago, I nearly had a heart attack in the 3rd part when Chris leaped out of bed, haha

  • Peter Cushing & Christopher Lee were in a lot of movies together!

  • I love this film!!!

  • I`ve been after seeing this for ages!

    Thanks a lot!
