Calm down everyone no they didn't "waste" the money they just invested it, it is funny, people like silly monkeys doing silly things for no apparent reason, i'd much rather see them give it to the poor but we wouldn't be America if we didn't buy into this crud, thumbs up if u agree, thumbs down if u want to hold on to your perfect little world where you think everything now adays is corrupted and bad, it's 21st century america, WAKE UP

How typical, a brainwashing mechanism that combines elements of animal cruelty, greed and simple minded ignorance in one 30 second spot broadcast on America's flagship of fascism, the superbowl. The saddest part of it all that it boldly brandishes the fact that it "wasted 2 million dollars" in the face of world hunger and increasingly massive divide between the have and the have nots in this world. That's fine though, go ahead and laugh everyone, pull the blinders down a little further.
To fully appreciate this commercial you have to remember the context. At the time there was so much buzz and media attention about how Superbowl commercials had grown so incredibly expensive and had hit the $2 million mark. To run such a silly commercial saying they threw away $2 million was brilliant, especially for a company in the investment business.
This is the commercial I was looking for. It wasn't so much the monkey dancing...In fact I forgot WHO'S commercial this was, but I remember the "we just wasted ,$2M " part and I think that puts this commercial as top 20 Superbowl memorable commercials of all time
@hippi28 I suppose you're concerned b/c you can think of better ways of using the $. Maybe spend it on some kids in need or sending a teen to college, or thousands of other worthy things.
That's not a monkey-- its an ape. Apes eat monkeys. Its sick that etrade would exploit an endangered species for a laugh.
