Having grown up as a (mostly) black man in Sweden, I can only partially relate to the situation of the black American. Despite my US heritage. Here racism and social injustice is still common and I consider myself fortunate that I'm 'merely' black rather than those worse off. I do still agree that everyone is always responsible for their own progress. Prejudice is all about ignorance IMO. Educating and empowering yourself in turn helps to educate those who oppose you.

Great video. It's too bad I don't see this perspective more often (tv/internet/etc). Unfortunately people pre-judge all the time. It doesn't have to be about race. They have images in their head and just assume. As far as how I view black people - the same way I view other people. Not all white people act alike. My black friends don't fit the rapper stereotype. Another thing with stereotyping is that some black people view other blacks as "sellouts" because they don't act a certain way.
