  • Was this intentionally recorded in mono vice stereo?

  • This song reminds klaxons and new order

  • This is for get wild on the club ;)

  • brilliant track!

  • THE CHARLATANS greatest band, the only thing that bothers me is Tim Burguess obsession with the US... musically its overflowed with the same monotonous shit bands.

  • One of the most underrated bands of all time. Go Charlatans!!!!!

  • This album (You Cross My Path) is brilliant. The Charlatans never disappoint. Great live too!

  • THE CHARLATANS were around 20 years ago They were better than new order then and they most certainly are now.

  • New Order disbanded last year. However, the Charlatans are still around.

  • @shareschannel Good, but not better than new order, no way, no how.

  • FUCK new order

  • i love this song soo much! the tune is soo relaxing

  • they were brilliant, influencial, amazing, cool,geniuses...they stil lare and always will be <3333333333

  • Has Tim turned into a beatnik or something? Not a big fan of their most recent stuff but this song is cool. Like the slidey country style guitar. Aberdeen gets a mention in this song, thats cool.

  • top tune!love the fella's barnet an all!

  • music as it should be. they are a great band. saw them in Munich in September and they were fantastic

  • sucha great band saw them for the 2nd time on sat night, burgess is a legend

  • I've been a fan of The Charlatans since "The Only One I Know", but I kind of tuned out recently. I actually missed the release of YCMP, so I'll be buying that ASAP :) This is a great song, and I like what I hear of the rest of the album. Nice work from the guys, after all these years!

  • Saw these guys on Wed night in Belfast, they were fantastic, also met them before hand in a restaurant, Tim Burgess is such a nice guy, they were all really cool when my mate and myself approached them, top blokes!!

  • This really sounds a lot like New Order.

But then again...both are from Manchester and why not show your influences?! ;)

I see the Charlatans in about four hours live...I´m excited. Last time I saw them was in 98.

  • I saw them in July, and i'd give anything to see them again!

  • I saw them yesterday and I feel the same! :(

  • really good music.

  • It reminds me of Blue Monday, I like it so much =)

  • top top song, back on form with this one, still sounds fresh even with a bit of so called NO infleunce, who are one of my fav bands...good stuff Tim and boys

  • I love this song!!!!!!!!!!

  • top tune

  • I have to say I don't like the new stuff. I love the charlatans but for me it started going downhill after Up At the Lake. Sorry, I'm a fan of the mid 90's Charlatans..

  • bass line... keyboards, vocal styling... Good song, but like "The Walk" by The Cure, mainly cos it's basically Blue Monday.

  • who the hell cares what Tim's hair looks like? That's what's wrong with music today.

Listen to the music, don't look at the singer.

  • But he`s sooo cute...lol

You`re right. Who cares about the state of hair...it`s about music.

  • i like this song yer i aint hating on it but his haircut is a bit well...goofy but i still love this song

  • who gives a fuck if its a new order influenced track, its fucking brilliant and awesome live. all the new stuff is great, just as good as the early stuff. if you dont like it dont listen.

  • fukin ledgends loving the whole new order sound fukin awsome these guys are 1 kick ass band a would be insulted if anybody else tryed tae copy new order but am actually reallyhappy bout this sounds awsome lads well done!!!

  • I $#%# love this song!!

Nobody is trying to deny it is a Peter Hook bass line used here, so WTF???? It is a beautiful song and the early New Order melancholy fits it like a glove. I almost like Bird/Reprise even more...brilliant bass line in that one as well.

So: SHUT the HELL up and quit your whining!

  • Is that Aberdeen that's mentioned in the lyrics about 2 mins 3 secs in? Someone told me about it and certainly sounds like it!

  • if you want rip off bands ,just go to oasis.

    they are kings of it..

  • What the fork has happened to the formerly credible and gorgeous Tim Burgess?? Since 1990 they've been my favourite band, seen them loads, got every album..

Can barely stand to listen to this..

Every banal song and video the same, your lyrics suck and ya, LA's nice, but you dont have to use it in every forking video, knobbers. If you love the US so much, go bum George Bush. What a sell out you've become..

And ffs, sort your hair out, you look like a gay pygmy twat.

  • sort that barnet out!!

  • Their first decent single since 1997's How High.

Of course it's a shameless New Order rip-off - it's the bassline of Blue Monday to the tune of 60 Miles An Hour!

  • no they dont sound like new order...

they are the charlatans and since 1990

have one of the best bands ever!

if you want new order then fuck off

and go listen to them, because the charlies

dont need to rip off any other band,as they ooze class..

  • they are blatant new order rip offs now.

they had some good stuff, but this is fuckin criminal.

    You twat.

  • Tim Burgess has always namechecked New order as one of his favourite bands(as any one with any taste would).

The Charlatans have always tried different sounds and after 20 years I think they can do what they want.

This is their best single in ages.

  • This is the best single since the last one, which was the best singlw since the one before that, which was the best single before that and so on...

  • thats the best thing the charlatans have ever done but thats only because its a fuckin rip off of the greatest manchester band ever. NEW ORDER

  • exelente video!! me encanta, y lo mejor es que tiene ese sonido retro parecido a new order!!. mejor aún. please visit argentina!!!!

    OSCARCHO. BUENOS AIRES ARGENTINA

  • very fantastic. but you noise thinking NEW ORDER

    exelent!!. please visit argentina!!!!

  • Just fantastic, great video, great song and my fave band...heaven!

  • Best song since How High.

Charlatans kicking it old school- soul survivors of '88!

  • Yes, this album is saturated in New Orderness... especially the track Mis-Takes... but it is still The Charlatans...and they sure sound like they are having fun with it. They were never one to be afraid to wear their influences on their sleeve so brightly. They have been around long enough and worked hard enough to be worthy of doing so too.

  • ho yeah!

  • Not bad... sounds alot like New Order.

  • ace song... brilliant voice!

got to meet him when he dj'd @ the red garter in venice a few weeks ago... was such a genuine, cool guy and to boot, he looked incredibly cute when he danced!

  • Tim Burgess is a great rock n roll frontman :)

    i love the charlatans

  • quality burgess is a fuckin legend.

  • Great video! I love it!

  • Tim is as cool as F*CK what a tune.
