WOW my hair is standing up on the back of my neck...RUSHIN!!
All you young pups out there 18-20..look very close..yup thats your mum and dad, aunts and uncles..and you kids thought we where borning!!..you have no idea..lol
SHIT MAN!i was at this gig and im sure they were supporting 808 state and the sugar cubes were on aswell .it may just be the copious amounts of drugs that i consumed back in the 90s .but it was at gmex manchester.i think ......urm....help.............anybody?
I agree.. Back then i was about expression and not the namebrands!!! Dancing, dressing... It didnt matter... Happyness and love... Even if it was only chemical!!! We were all beautiful!!! Just like in the 60's the hippies!!! We were Neo-hippy!!! Diff was, we bathed!!! Now we 're grown up... In offices or what ever job we grew into... But back then we were free....
N-Joi were amazing. They were well ahead of everthing else that was happening at this time. If they had kept it together, they would have been as big as The Prodigy or The Chemical Brothers in 2011.
"Rock Your Soul To Make A Building Shake" Does anyone know another track this appears in? I heard it in Dj Bone's Attack 8 mix. Same vocal with an old Chicago stab, please help?!

@TheSwiftCee Come one - you must have been about 10 at the time - with respect, how would you possibly know?? Long hair was cool back then - I had a bloke who wore his hair in plaits - yes really - times change - no offence meant!!
@spikeyisland70 I wasnt 10 buddy, I was there, right up the pointed end. Yes long hair was 'in' then, that doesnt excuse the fact he's a shit dancer does it? no offence.
@TheSwiftCee Strange - why does your channel say you're 28 then???? His dancing ain't that bad - the whole point of the rave scene was that no one gave a shit how you danced - it was all about freedom and fun and expressing yourself.
picked this whole performance (parts 1 and 2) up on original vinyl in a retro store in manchester, mint condition but cost me £15! Nice one for the collection though :)
@cherrydrop08 JUST CHECKED A NJOI VIDEO AND U ASKED IF IT WAS THE ACADAMEY....ITS MANCHESTER THE WEEK B 4..I CUNT GET ATICKET..AND WENT ALL THE WAY TO BRIXTON..AND I WAS THERE AND IT WAS MINT..NO1 NJOI FAN...IANW1767@HOTMAIL.CO.UK..STAY NICE AND SAFE
wicked. it was matt he was a top dancer, saw n-joi lots in the early 90s,they even came to our own lil club in peterborough .the attic. i was in megadrive we were on formation records in lesta! dj ss was the boss. another top bloke. check out our tunes from 1992,, keep thee vibe alive x
@geelad6969 I just found an old vid of them at the bunker, worth a look, search N-joi at the bunker on google vids, they should give you one on Vimeo. Enjoy Njoi.
ok, time to clear things up. "Live in Manchester" was not actually recorded in Manchester, it was recorded at the Ballroom in Kilburn, just before xmas 92...i was editing MINDFLUX on an Akai DD1000 in the dressing room 10 minutes before they went on...and oh yeah, i was their tech so i should know.
ha! well...live in Kilburn dont have the same ring...from memory the audio/ audience was recorded at some shitty rave in Kings Lynn....so when the EP was talked about , Manchester came up trumps as it was more "hip" at the time....
I love this tune soooo much. I get goosebumps everytime when that mentasm sound kicks in at 0:19. Love it and the video is amazing, Wish I was there :(
