  • I have had zero libido in then years since I was 19, very much depressed/angry no self esteem motivation also sparse pubic hair but muscle mass n facial hair are fine. I went to doctor at 21 he said the testosterone levels were fine but I still have all these symptoms today, should I try and get it re-checked?

  • Thanks doc!

  • I've had all the symptoms you mentioned and had my total testosterone level checked twice and it was below the normal range so my doctor put me on Androgel and feel so much better after only 3 weeks. I know I'll be using the stuff for the rest of my natural life but I wish there was a cheaper alternative.

  • Call the office at 310-276-4494 and schedule a consultation.

  • I had my test taken. The doctor said I was on the low side of the normal range so they did nothing. I am 34 and have all the symptoms of low testosterone. Always have since about 18 yrs old. No facial hair,no sex drive, belly fat, fatique, prone to broken bones, depression and anxiety. I could pass for a 20 year old kid. Why won't the doctor do anything?

  • does taking this cause your natural testosterone glands to produce less and cause you to become dependent on the drug?

  • Taking testosterone replacement therapy may decrease whatevever natural but deficient production you still may have. However this can be counteracted by concominantly taking HCG or Chlomephene to continue to stimulate your remaining testosterone production capacity and prevent testicular atropy.

  • Thanks for the advice. Very helpful

  • Why isn't it mandatory for everybody? It sounds like the fountain of youth.

  • It's not for everybody, only for those with a diagnosed deficiency!

  • is it possible for someone to have lack of testoesterone production at the 18 years of age?

  • Yes that is possible and may be due to a variety of causes including drugs, infection, genetic abnormalities and primary hypogonadism.

  • ok let's take out external factors. Can emotional instability, lack of development of facial hair, acne and taking to much time to have an ejaculation which doesn't give you any pleasure be sign of testoesterone deficiency? is this normal at 18 years of age? Can something emotionally traumatic at that age stop the development of testoesterone?

  • The symptoms and signs you describe can be consistent with testosterone deficiency. This can occur at 18 due to various factors and stress can be a contributing factor. You should consult with an experienced physician to sort it out.

  • Yes, but not necessarily. You need to be correctly evaluated to determine the cause. Stress can affect hormone production significantly and is a possible contributing factor when hormone deficiencies exist.

  • doctor, before Androgel, I was gaining body fat even though I was consistently working out. Now I've been on Androgel for two months, I ' m still gaining weight and growing breasts. Any stop to the male breasts? thank you

  • You need further evaluation. Testosterone treatment can cause elevation in Estradiol which may contribute to breast enlargement.

  • Testosterone can convert to estrogen and along with excess fat may cause moobs. Testing can determine the hormonal imbalances which can then be corrected.

  • Can a testicular cyst have an affect on testosterone production?

  • Testosterone levels are not reduced significantly by the presence of a testicular cyst.

  • Usually not.

  • I already do those things ... that's a no brainer ... so, now what doc ? ... what's the next step ?

  • The next step is to see an experienced and qualified doctor. Feel free to call our office and schedule a consultation.

  • I'm 51 and my libido has gone down the toilet ... is there anyway I can improve my situation without seeing a doctor ... I just don't have the money these days due to the bad economy. I hear about "zinc, L-arginine" ... am I on the right track ?

  • You can improve your situation by having an optimal life syle (including diet, exercise, stress, sleep, cigarettte smoking, alcohol). No supplements will counteract a lifestlye that undermines their benefits.

  • I am HIV+ and ever since I was diagnosed I started on meds. I am 39 now and I have been in andropause for 5 years now. Under my doctors supervision, I give myself a testosterone shot every 2 weeks. I use Testosterone Cypionate 200mg/mL. I give myself a 1 mL shot. A test of my testosterone levels showed that my Bio-available testosterone level was very low. Since starting hormone replacement, I feel better and I am able to exercise like I did when I was younger.

  • depression, anxiety and even suicide thoughts increases as well.

  • Those symptoms if associated with a significant defivciency may significantly improve with replacement.

  • how can i contact a doctor on this

  • Call 310-276-4494 to schedule your consultation.

  • When you are in your twenties and even thirties, yes, eating right and working out 4-5 times a week works great. It worked for me. Unfortunately as we age our bodies do not function as well as they did when younger. It is part of the aging process and nothing can stop that. You can delay some of the symptoms of aging but not forever. I am 56 and have been diagnosed with low T. I still work out regularly but the results are minimal if any at all. My body no longer produces what it once did.

  • It appears that you may really benefit from testosterone replacement therapy.

  • How long until you notice changes?

  • Usually changes can be observed in a matter of weeks.

  • Improvement is usually seen within a matter of a few weeks.

  • It did! Been on suppliments for few weeks and cant believe that all these crazy symptoms were all tied to testestorone!

  • Glad to hear yu are starting to feel better :-).

  • I started to suspect this at 35, put off tests until my 49 year-old brother was diagnosed, I'm 41, my level is 140, start Testim next week. I had all the classic symptoms - lethargy is the worst because it is a downward spiral - you can't exercise so you get fat and unhealthy, makes it harder to exercise - between this and thyroid disease, I went from an extremely fit-and-healthy former USAF pilot at 27 to severely obese at 41 - I hope this gives me enough edge to stay on the treadmill.

  • Getting your hormone balance restored will give you all the edge you need!

  • I have a disgnosis of low test 136! Am I a lost cause? Totally lost the drive, this and along with D deficiency, I feel dead!

  • With Teswtosterone replacement therapy and Vitamin D3 supplementation you will feel like you got your life back!

  • why not just work out and eat healthy.

  • Because if you have testosterone deficiency that just won't cut it!

  • Testosterone is a great solution for many older and obese men. But im kinda with you on this on. theres alot of ways to natrually spike up your hormones without the use of synthetic testosterone. And its a shame that everything has to be treated with the use of drugs. I mean if you lift weights 4-5 times a week, do intervall sprint training, eat good food like nuts, fish, fruits and on top of that take zink, vitamin e, l-arginine and mabye Gabba..what says your not going to suceed with that..?

  • Unfortunately lifting weights 4-5 times a week, doing intervall sprint training, eating good food like nuts, fish, fruits and on top of that taking zinc, vitamin E, l-arginine and maybye Gabba just won't cut it at any age if there is a true androgen deficiency. The only solution with that diagnosis is replacement therapy.

  • @Dudelookslikeeylady When my testosterone bottomed out my workouts suffered badly. I went from being able to recoupe in 24 hrs. to being extremely sore for 2 weeks after a mild workout. And I tried all those so called natural remedies, all it did was break my pocketbook and did nothing to raise my test.

  • My pleasure!

  • Humblest thanks, a very very informative and helpful video

  • If my test level is 500 can i get prescription from a doctor for test?

  • If my test level is 500 can i get a prescription from a doctor?

  • Sure!

  • Thank you so much for this. My Doctor diagnosed (sp?) me with low testosterone about a month ago & I've learned more in the last 9:48 than I have in two Doctor visits.

  • Glad you found it of value!

  • Thank`s for this vid, 5*.

  • You are so welcome!

  • very good explanation doctor

  • Thanks!

  • Thank you for sharing your information on this topic. I`ll try HRT at age 47, and hope to get this kind treatment in Norway. I currently go to psykriatic therapi coused by depressions, and other symtoms related to changes in my life. I`s hard to get the message trough, to my medical colleagues, simply becouse it is not standard treatment in Norway. We have some hospitals, collecting data on this subject! I`m afraid i`ll end up whith anti depressants? But i`ll use your video! Thanks again

  • You are so welcome and best of luck!

  • at 19 i have been very symptomatic. i have had a reduction in stregth. every time igo into the weightroom i am weaker. i have joint aches, bad memory, etc. i went and got an mri. i have a 2mm pituitary tumor. BOTH the neurosurgeon and neuorologist said that it is not causing the symptoms. i think thats bullshit. i mgoing to the endocronologist but i dont know what else to do since he wouldnt remove the tumors so im scared sort of.

  • If your hormone levels are youthful and normal then there is likely another underlying cause.

  • Hi,

    Very good video.

I think I am a lost cause.32 years old. have low T levels and high oestrogen levels. On tostran now, and tablets to reduce my oestrogen. was on sustannon and testogel. My T levels have improved but I have nt. Still Terrible fatique, depression, aches and pains, anxiety, restlessness, poor concentration levels etc. I am close to throwing in the towel.

  • Hi Peter,

Thanks for your comments. Before you throw in the towel make an appointment for a consultation to transform your life and balance your hormone levels. I have many patients just like you that felt there was no hope until I got them back into balance and restored their vitality, libido and performance.

    Best,

    Andre Berger, MD
