@cooksecurities Actually it's usually on my belt. I try to carry knives the safest way I can. I don't like them around my neck. This particular sheath carries the knife handle down when used with the lanyard (as do many other knives), so if it wants to come out, gravity will pull it out it would be dangerous. Also getting to a neck knife isn't as easy as getting to it when on my belt. Then there's the knife flopping around when hiking, bending over, etc. I don't like carrying knives that way.
@markshmily I will think about more trail shots in the future. I need to spread them out between all the video I shot on this trip though to keep things original each time!
Is the 3g steel better then vg-10 when it comes to chipping? I have the the F1 with vg-10 and I've done the best I can to protect it from chipping but it still got some minor chips in the blade. Nice review btw.
@maxlundstedt I have the VG-10 and 3G versions of the F1. The 3G version has been chipping with just light woods use. I will do a review of this problem. The chips are small but annoying. The VG-10 has never had this problem. I recommend getting the VG-10 version over the 3G of these knives. Not only cheaper, but I think the edge doesn't have any chipping issues vs. 3G which does. The 3G chipping is annoying the heck out of me.
