I've also wasted time looking for the 'page 4 Aux assign' on the FX menu which doesn't exist after the Universal Control 1.5 update. But the answer is to look up 'Aux Flip' on the presonus site. Essentially pressing the Mix button twice on any of the Aux sends allows rotary controls 1 to 6 to set incoming signals back to the Aux. Controls 5 & 6 set FXA and FXB levels. You get two LED's above controls 7 to 16 to indicate these controls are not relevent. Hopes this helps someone....
This is OUT OF DATE for Universal Control 1.5's firmware. You should make that clear, I just waster 2 hours going through this over and over and waiting for the help desk to find out this is just wrong (now)
@DaveSmilingsunSun Dave, I'm sorry. This is a really good point, as software updates roll out some of these videos lose relevance. I'm sorry you were confused by this, and you're right to be frustrated.
I just contacted our video team, and we will be meeting with the hardware guys to make sure other videos like this are caught and adjusted appropriately. Thank you. Your voice matters!
@presonusaudio Thanks, keep updating and making the gear better; which the new way seems to be. I understand how hard it is to keep documentation up to date, and I want more not less videos and .pdf's. I would suggest making it clear on each video which version of UC, the firmware etc. apply, and the disclaimer that newer versions may differ since your always improving.
I thought 'man mines broke I got no page four' ; while in fact mine is better than yours :)
i hope there is a video for this question? I've recorded a song and added effects in studio one artist, when i create a mixdown of the song it doesn't have the effects. i haven't sent the effects to subs and then to the main, is this my problem? PLEASE HELP!
hi there again. we are using old version of speakers in church fixed in the wall (not amplified) and connected to a amplifier. now, can i connect that speaker directly to my presonus 16.4.2? like i am just going to buy a connector. i already removed my equalizer and noise reduction bcoz presonus have them already a package of one but im afraid to remove my amplifier i want to confirm first to you guys. thank you.
16.4.2 is extremely unstable. It is known for shutting off in the middle of gigs. The one I bought is completely locked up. The firmware is the latest version. Fail. Do not buy this mixer.
hello there i need a help. i installed all the drivers in my computer but when i get to the church to connect our prosonus 16.4.2 i found a problem my computer doesnt have a firewire connection. is there any firewire device i can buy to connect to my computer? my computer is ACER 6920g
you can get a firewire card or express card if you have the slot but you do want to check if your chipset is compatible on presonus' site. for example 99% of dells are not compatible. and on that same page they list tested ecards too.
Question: If you send your FX returns to a Sub, and then adjust the FX knob, will that affect what's going to the Sub? Or does the FX get send to the sub "pre-knob"?
Very Nice... I'm inbetween getting this unit as to going portable with the firestudio racks as I have Reason Record. I have done this before in sending FX to a bus normally I would have then in my Aux 1,2,3,4 and sometimes set up into a standard ch but in this case I see that you have all 16 in use. I like to group the drum ch's and other groups to my bus to have a volume fader for my larger ch groups. I'm gather you can do the same. I run a 32 ch 8 bus board.
When you said you were sending the effeects to the aux's. You got it backwards. You assigned a Plate Reverb to Effects A and a Mono Delay on Effects B. At 4:08 you said the singers Delay was on Effects A, but you have already assigned it to Effects B. Was it just a slip of the tongue?
sweet......thanks brandon! this was exactly what i was waitiing for! i'm gonna do just what you demonstrated this weekend...Presonus continues to impress!

Brandon,
can you please do a similar video with FX Assign/Routing for the New 16.0.2
I would love to see how to use those on AUX's, FOH, and hwo to BEST control both
And also on "send to Aux1-4" if we'll ever be able to assign which AUX to send to
please comment, THANKS

@triumpcare you can either buy a firewire 400 PCI card and install it on your laptop, or buy a firewire400 to usb adapter.

How do you "tap" in a tempo with the effects? More so, in a live situation?
JeremyWPorter 1 year ago
@JeremyWPorter I believe you just select FxA of FxB and tap

Very Informative, and to the point. When explained this way it makes it very easy to understand how it works. Thank you for the info.
