This was the wheel that was moved to Seaside Heights, NJ. sometime in the 60s, where it was commonly referred to as the "Web Wheel" because of the pattern of its supports. It was deemed old and unsafe in the mid 70s and closed. It was taken down a couple years later and that's the last of its history.

That wheel predates the wonderwheel. This movie has 2 of my favorite things, monkies and ferriswheels.
