That would make all the countrys in south asia want to get there independences from Colonialism by other western countries. The Vietnam war was fought because the helicopter company Bell didn't earn so much cash so they wanted America to enter Vietnam conflict and said that they would produce them lot's of choppers.

Now, when America entered Vietnam, Soviet Union took action in supplying Vietnam the best hardware that was three times more advanced then American army tech, most bell helicopters where shoot down by Soviet weaponry...

In all this, Bell succeeded in killing almost 4 million people in Vietnam

It was a nationalist struggle to free Vietnam from outside influence, and given how quickly the U.S. moved in to act behind the South Vietnamese regime, the desire to free Vietnam of "foreign invaders" flared up again.

@wickeddeej Your short version is a bit short on Truth, wickeddeej. The majority of Vietnamese in South Vietnam did not want to unite with the Communist North...because they were COMMUNIST. Many Vietnamese fought with the French against the "Nationalist" Vietminh. When the French left and the North was completely rid of Western Influence, the South Vietnamese vowed to create their own non-communist nation, and seeing this over 800,000 Vietnamese escaped the North and flooded down South.

I'm well aware that many people did not care for the Communist regime, however there is no denying that ultimately the North managed to corner the nationalist agenda for their recruitment efforts in the South.

Hence the reason why many in the South joined with the North because they realised just how worse off they were under a dictatorship and yes turned out communism was just the same too. As for the "evils of Communism" the sad truth is that South Vietnamese Premier, Ngo Dinh Diem was a deeply power-obsessed man who sought to fill all the higher government posts with his own relatives, and declined to hold the scheduled elections in 1956.
