i dont know why rise against's version and this version are getting compared cause they are the exact the SAME!!!! just different sounding vocals and the rise against has slightly clearer in audio quality. theres absolutely nopthing to compare, all rise against has done compliment the band and the song by doing a cover of it!!

"Built To Last" is SOIA's best album and one of my, probably, top 20 albums of all time. Plus, SOIA, is one of the bands that got me into hardcore, and I'm not usually a huge fan of the NY sound. But SOIA is tremendous and time tested.

To me I like this version more, has a certain style to it that gives it an edge over Rise Against, a bit more character. Tim's voice is usually better but to be honest in the cover he's just screaming (and not as well as he does in other songs).

You are using examples before rise against has tasted fame and its fortunes. R.A does not sound like anything like RPM or The Unraveling anymore.
