@HighlightsSports100 All successful mainstream black actors had to play a character in a dress or be a sissy. Or they have to play stereotypical roles like in "Precious". It isn't the same with whites
I have watched every episode of " The Big Bang Theory" and the only black man to appear on the show was a black man wearing a pink dress. it was a flash back episode where Lenard was telling Penny of how he meet Sheldon Cooper. He went to the wrong apartment and there it was the only appearance of a black man on the show in 5 seasons
@davecameronz "so harmless", spoken by a true cunt.. and money has never done anyone any good...And just wait..when the shit hits the fan in the near future, u r gonna wish u had a big bad tabacco spittin man to take care of u, but ya know what? all ur gonna find is a bunch of lil metrosexuals pussies u woemn have created, and u can all die right along side each other while u talk about hair products and body waxing...
that a boy Dave.. Finally someone had the balls to say "No More! " Are society is totally going into the shitter, women dont know their places any more and we have a whole generation of these pussies nowaday's represnting what they think a mans supposed to be!! Oprah is one of the biggest reasons for this.....

everybodys thinking this is the worst thing that has happened to black comedians, those movies were FUNNY, thats the whole freaking point! i loved chris tucker in that movie and loved big mommas house. i still think that dave was very brave in standing up for himself but thats his choice, not anyone elses. (and now that i think bout it, id really hate it if i saw him in a dress) but it depends on the person
It's comedy. That's what comedians do. Put themselves on the line for some laughs. Is a woman dressed as a man unfairly masculinising women? He's happy to bandy about LOADS of racist jokes about crackers, women are full of nonesense and hate each other, drug encouragement, and untold volumes of other offensive material and I accept it, because.... Ding Ding Ding! It's comedy!... But a man wearing a dress is where he makes his stand? Really?
The LOVE of money is the root to ALL evil!! I applaud him for taking a stand against being de-masculinized for money! I will never sell my soul for money; it can't save my soul.
Wow, slamming the guy for having enough morals and dignity for turn down quite a bit of money? Wtf is wrong with you people? Most people would eat dogshit and smile for that money, and that's someting to respect? Atleast Dave took a stand on what he believes in and stuck to it and doesn't apologize for it. That's a rare breed in hollywood and I respect that.
@mechanicalnom , honestly I would have put the dress on for 50 million because that to me is not a big deal, but when there is something that you feel strongly against doing I think no amount of money will suffice when it comes to your principles. You know I was watching Leprechaun In the Hood(First One) and I remembered Dave's speech about how black actors are given roles which they cross dress. And wow, it hit me. And yeah Hollywood emasculates all men. You realize that women are acting like men and men are acting like women nowadays. Not everyone, but most peole I know.
No, he was not crazy. Corey Feldman said the biggest Hollywood problem is pedophilia and child abuse and that the casting couch is for all people of all genders, races, whatever....Basically, they wanna screw you.
How many actors, that you have never heard of, are dead from AIDS cuz of Hollywood? Think about it. It happens.
Okay, granted that seems to happen a lot. And I agree with the general premise that entertainment routinely and deliberately devalues men in any way they can think up. illuminati tried to pull him in by offering him 100 million to sell his sould to the devil and he turned those fags down, thats my nigga dave. Fuck those faggot ass niggas in hollywood
How true. i hate that image. they passify black men by doing this. along with a predominantly white police force passifying us. black men who choose to be gay. it is hard to respected as a black man giving the history of this country. i love diversity when it can happen but there has to be black pride also. if you like DAVE CHAPPELLE you will like TOP 30 UNIQUE VIDEOS
One of the goals of racist hollywood is to feminize the black man. It is propaganda "they" use to subliminaly affect the young black psyche. Don't be fooled!
@Donesyboy Although in the least her body language signified more than simply fixing her hair. She was clearly uncomfortable with what he was saying (which is ridiculous since it has clear racist undertones) and wanted to distance herself which is why she also shielded her face momentarily.
Dave is right one the money as usual. They emasculated the white male in this culture to the point that its hard to find a guy who isn't a total metro. Now they are after the African American males, and I'm sure Hispanic males will be next. It's all about the total destruction of the family unit, and the unisexing of the culture.
Dave is definitely NOT crazy. I think he has a valid point and I am glad that he stuck to his guns on this one. It's about time someone said it! I believe some of the actors you highlighted in your video wrote their roles for themselves (like Martin as Shenene, the Wayans Bros. in White Chicks and Jamie Foxx aka Wanda) and not put upon by Hollywood. Ever see Dwayne Johnson ("The Rock") in the movie, "Tooth Fairy?" I still can't figure out how that got that (very masculine) man in a tutu.smh.
@Rosedaleb1 EXACTLY. What you mentioned about Johnson is exactly what I was going to say. It seemed like he eventually had enough with it and wanted to restore his masculine image. Look at Terry Crews as well. I'm not sure if that's his actual personality or not, but it's difficult to take him seriously when most of his roles seem subordinate.
I think this has less to do with emasculating black men (or at least it only partially has anything to do with it) and more to do with portraying black cis women as secretly men in disguise. Hollywood likes to racialize gender and code black as "masculine," so putting black men in drag is actually a dig at black women and how the dominant culture perceives them (the common trope of black women considered unattractive or "masculine" because they are black).
@DaNumba1Rapper The point is their all black and who controls hollywood? the industry the illuminati in other words They dont like black people the kkk is part of the illuminatii theyre white supremacist so since they control hollywood they try to in a indirect way embarras the black race it has nothing to do with sex its about race
You think Monty Python thought it was emasculating to wear dresses? No they thought it was funny. A grown man in a dress can be considered funny. The three stooges did it because it was funny.
the dude already made his name and his money, he was in the position to say, fuck your dress, and he did. Maybe he wouldn't have done that as a starting comic/actor. It is what it is. Eddie Murphy and Martin are more masculine than Dave Chappelle, and they both wore dresses, if dave is worried about being emasculated than work on being a man off set.
I am not too familiar with American comedy films, but in the UK male comedians are always dragging up! Perhaps these film producers are looking to get a UK audience, seeing as we love men in drag so much :)
It is a damn shame how a biased white control media want to continue to passify famous black actors. I don't find none of this funny, however, on the lighter side - check out my videos on you tube - how to laugh at racism
Lowest common denominator shit, and it should be offensive to black people. Tyler Perry's whole career is built on treating other black people like they're children. How many traditional laugh-track sitcoms still exist, and this dude's got 2. And the entire gimmick is... fat guy talks funny. Or in his movies, man in a dress. Who's watching this shit?
Aside from emasculation, it's just an old-ass cliche. Dear god this Jack and Jill movie with Adam Sandler looks horrible. Now if only someone would take a stance about break dancing talking animal movies.
Chappelle was the ONLY one so far that dared to talk about what goes on inside show biz. Where are the George Carlin´s of the World?? Busy collecting the pay check and having the nerve to preach to us (many times preaching that we should accept the cancer of homosexuality go figure...). BTW...Oprah is a cunt and a tool of the Illuminati, i hope Chappelle realises this by now.
DAVE, nuff respect U are too smart to be fooled around by Hollywood. The Jews who run Hollywood like to always picture black people negatively. Your thoughts about conspiracy are very correct. Proffessor GRIFF praised your ways of handling such things. Allah u Akbar
Money does't buy you happiness. Just look at the Heath Ledgers, Charley Sheens and Michael Jacksons of the world. I honestly respect Dave as a man more than almost any other person in Hollywood.
just watched the joe rogan experience podcast on ustream and co creator neal brennan says the corporate suits were pitting him and dave together for their own financial gain which probably created the demise of the chappelles show.
I think Dave has a point. However, Eddie Murphy wore a dress (when he played Sherman Kulmp's mother, grandmother) in The Nutty Professor and he was hilarious. The others they showed (White Chicks, Big Momma's House) weren't AS funny as TNP.. but I think that if some comedians feel they need to be dressed as women to be funny, then that's where the problem lies. But Dave said he didn't feel comfortable. That's not his schtick.. so that should be then end of it. True.
im a hip hop artist uppin coming i never even released on song yet but iv been rocking all these song i wrote last year so im keeping my rhyming till i got a CD worth but to my point Dace Chappelle is one of my highest idols the way he talks sparks the realness in my mind n really gets me thinking
@colintrent If you feel that way about Dave Chappelle, me and you are of the same mind set, Id probably get into your music. Im gonna sub to your channel, post some shit up on youtube sometime. Also do me a favor and check out Brother Ali, one of my favorite rappers. Peace
what's admirable about Dave, is that he stands up for his principles and no amount of money can overtake that. Plus, at the time he was offered to wear that dress, he was already a big star. Dave didn't have to do puppet show to impress anyone anymore. Just receiving royalty from his DVD sales is big enough payday for him.
@xxyanlixx he and his family are muslim; Islam's principles and teachings are identical to christianity/judaism contrary to the public mantra. the differences are merely semantics. so chappelle probably had his values/manhood grounded. it's why he walked away from the $50 million b/c he knew chasing materialism wasn't the solution to anything, where others in the past/present have and continue to be deceived by it.
If I were doing a movie called "Robin Hood"~ I'd KNOW that I'd be wearing tights~ bcuz that's what mofo's wore during that time. If I was pretending 2 be the artist formerly known as Prince~ I'd KNOW they'd have me in heels & shit. But Dave is talking about the white mofos who pride themselves on putting men in dress for no damned reason! ("The Middle Passage" explains that agenda when it comes 2 black men.) Good job AGAIN DAVE, 4 refusing their fucking dress. AND 2 those who always say NO!
@SilentlyOutSpoken But it wasn't just him doing it. It was with 3 other white guys and it was a plot point. It's different then what he is talking about.
@Masterduo The others were for plot points as well; Other black comedians he is talking about have been in dresses alongside white guys as well. Even with all that aside, those are reasons not excuses for Dave participating in the same debauchery.
Really Dave? I saw you doing drag in Robin Hood Men in tights ...
Also it's been a long tradition since Shakespeare and Japanese Kabuki Theatre that men played the female parts, cuz woman were not allowed to do any thing. You are over reacting like Busta Rhymes, when asked about gay rappers....and we all know Busta is gay....
I'm so glad he turned down "turn the strong black man to a fag" dress! They do it to "own" you. 50 mil can kiss your feet~ no amount of money is worth the loss of your pride. Dave= VERY SMART & STRONG! :)
I love Dave. The man is smart, funny and has integrity. He may have damaged his career by ending his Chapelle Show but he made the right decision. What price can you put on pride and conviction?
@LilacStar82 that's because you don't do your proper research. those are the guidelines for MEN in hollywood. however there's a special interest for Negroid men in hollywood. hollywood is still pretty vague on the image of Negroid men on film
It's not always about the them. Not everything is targeted towards blk men in Hollywood so just drop the crap bm. There are plenty of white men that dressed in drag for movies Dustin Hoffman in Tootsie, Robin Williams in Mrs. Doubfire,Patrick Swayze in Tu Wong Foo, John Candy in Nothing But Trouble Johnny Depp in Ed Wood and the list goes on. So it's far from a fucking conspiracy. What Dave Chappelle just said is almost laughable.....
Chappelle wore a dress in a scene of 'Robin Hood: Men in Tights.' Though, yeah, considering that was a medieval style dress which obviously didn't show much, and the guys at the Martin Lawrence movie wanted him to disguise himself as a modern-day prostitute, I can see the point he's making.
I suddenly have newfound respect for him standing up for his convictions.
Dave is so true.
Most comics are stereotypes -
I like some of Kevin Hart - but
he is becoming that - look for
him in a dress soon.
Dave is the best.

How true. i hate that image. they passify black men by doing this. along with a predominantly white police force passifying us. black men who choose to be gay. it is hard to respected as a black man giving the history of this country. i love diversity when it can happen but there has to be black pride also. if you like DAVE CHAPPELLE you will like TOP 30 UNIQUE VIDEOS

Rosedaleb1 7 months ago 6
@Rosedaleb1 EXACTLY. What you mentioned about Johnson is exactly what I was going to say. It seemed like he eventually had enough with it and wanted to restore his masculine image. Look at Terry Crews as well. I'm not sure if that's his actual personality or not, but it's difficult to take him seriously when most of his roles seem subordinate.
thphaca 5 months ago
I think this has less to do with emasculating black men (or at least it only partially has anything to do with it) and more to do with portraying black cis women as secretly men in disguise. Hollywood likes to racialize gender and code black as "masculine," so putting black men in drag is actually a dig at black women and how the dominant culture perceives them (the common trope of black women considered unattractive or "masculine" because they are black).

Okay half of those at the end don't even apply to this scenario
Damon Wayans and David Alan Grier: They were portraying gay characters, it was the point. Doesn't count.
Eddie Murphy: He always plays different characters, both male and female. It has nothing to do with emasculating himself. Doesn't count
Chris Tucker: It wasn't even a frigging woman. He was just being Chris Tucker. Doesn't count

You think Monty Python thought it was emasculating to wear dresses? No they thought it was funny. A grown man in a dress can be considered funny. The three stooges did it because it was funny.
drjamyma 7 months ago
the dude already made his name and his money, he was in the position to say, fuck your dress, and he did. Maybe he wouldn't have done that as a starting comic/actor. It is what it is. Eddie Murphy and Martin are more masculine than Dave Chappelle, and they both wore dresses, if dave is worried about being emasculated than work on being a man off set.
drjamyma 7 months ago
I am not too familiar with American comedy films, but in the UK male comedians are always dragging up! Perhaps these film producers are looking to get a UK audience, seeing as we love men in drag so much :)
ladystardust74 7 months ago
I think it's not a stand against masculinity it's more of a stand against a gimmick that's been overused and isn't funny,

Who's watching this shit?
cowtzu 7 months ago 3

LETTYLIMON07 8 months ago
I think Dave has a point. However, Eddie Murphy wore a dress (when he played Sherman Kulmp's mother, grandmother) in The Nutty Professor and he was hilarious. The others they showed (White Chicks, Big Momma's House) weren't AS funny as TNP.. but I think that if some comedians feel they need to be dressed as women to be funny, then that's where the problem lies. But Dave said he didn't feel comfortable. That's not his schtick.. so that should be then end of it. True.

what's admirable about Dave, is that he stands up for his principles and no amount of money can overtake that. Plus, at the time he was offered to wear that dress, he was already a big star. Dave didn't have to do puppet show to impress anyone anymore. Just receiving royalty from his DVD sales is big enough payday for him.
xxyanlixx 9 months ago
@xxyanlixx he and his family are muslim; Islam's principles and teachings are identical to christianity/judaism contrary to the public mantra. the differences are merely semantics. so chappelle probably had his values/manhood grounded. it's why he walked away from the $50 million b/c he knew chasing materialism wasn't the solution to anything, where others in the past/present have and continue to be deceived by it.
zspree88 9 months ago 2
If I were doing a movie called "Robin Hood"~ I'd KNOW that I'd be wearing tights~ bcuz that's what mofo's wore during that time. If I was pretending 2 be the artist formerly known as Prince~ I'd KNOW they'd have me in heels & shit. But Dave is talking about the white mofos who pride themselves on putting men in dress for no damned reason! ("The Middle Passage" explains that agenda when it comes 2 black men.) Good job AGAIN DAVE, 4 refusing their fucking dress. AND 2 those who always say NO!
MeChelMyBelle 9 months ago
He wore a dress in Robin Hood: Men in Tights. What's your REAL agenda Dave?
SilentlyOutSpoken 9 months ago
@SilentlyOutSpoken But it wasn't just him doing it. It was with 3 other white guys and it was a plot point. It's different then what he is talking about.
Masterduo 9 months ago

@LilacStar82 that's because you don't do your proper research. those are the guidelines for MEN in hollywood. however there's a special interest for Negroid men in hollywood. hollywood is still pretty vague on the image of Negroid men on film

He's smart. He didnt play the puppet. He has a heart and he can see very well.
SEEdestinyCLEARLY 10 months ago
It's not always about the them. Not everything is targeted towards blk men in Hollywood so just drop the crap bm. There are plenty of white men that dressed in drag for movies Dustin Hoffman in Tootsie, Robin Williams in Mrs. Doubfire,Patrick Swayze in Tu Wong Foo, John Candy in Nothing But Trouble Johnny Depp in Ed Wood and the list goes on. So it's far from a fucking conspiracy. What Dave Chappelle just said is almost laughable.....
LilacStar82 10 months ago
Maybe black people generate towards very over the top comedy and cross dressing fits that bill to a T.
hcdangerfield211 10 months ago
Chappelle wore a dress in a scene of 'Robin Hood: Men in Tights.' Though, yeah, considering that was a medieval style dress which obviously didn't show much, and the guys at the Martin Lawrence movie wanted him to disguise himself as a modern-day prostitute, I can see the point he's making.
I suddenly have newfound respect for him standing up for his convictions.
