when I was younger and my mom did my hair I had to smile through the pain. I accepted that mine was more difficult than someone else's hair and I grew to resent dealing with it, since it had to an uncomfortable experience. when I understood as an adult that my texture required different methods, I took extra precautions to make sure I did those. I take my time, I wet the hair a whole lot when combing, and section hair before working with it, very gentle.

Very cute. My daughter has a very similar hair type. What do you use to keep it untangled. I moisturize and braid it every night but I can't get that kind of brush through it?

When you brush her hair. Start from the bottom and work up. That way you will not break the hair.

This is one of the hairstyles that I attempt on my daughter's hair but she never wants to keep it. The reason being is that she always wants her length to show. However after watching this video she tells me that she likes the accessory that you used so maybe we'll try something like this.

Yes she is mixed! Everyone's curl pattern is differernt, her hair is still alot of work-even though she has "looser" curls. There are women who are not mixed and have her same curl pattern. You just don't know what you're going to get, but I've seen gorgeous heads of natural hair from curls like my daughter, to a more "tighter" curl--they're all beautiful!
