Jeanie you are a wonderfully brave young woman. And absolutely stunning. I read your aunts book in one day, and cried several times throughout. Your moms story could be anyones story. For a while, it was mine. Thank you for the interview and sharing your words. They mean so much to so many
wow a 9 minute documentary .. im pretty sure our women children mothers sisters fathers brothers and friends .. deserve much more than 9 minutes of air time..
if u doubt that religious men are behind this to punish women for 1000 reasons- read the comments by men on the utube vid umoja village kenya- shcking how hateful are when they speak their minds- b/c we are weaker/kinder they permit themselves hate/threats which they wd not dare to a 300lb tattooed biker-or judge-cowards-a guy called davidthecatholic comments/threats will remind u of the reality of majority men s hate towards /,need to have women serve them do
I just finished reading "Missing Sarah" by Maggie De Vries. It chronicles Jeanie's mothers life. It shows what a wonderful woman Sarah was. She would have been the best at any career or life she chose, but her addictions kept her trapped in a life on the street. I highly recommend it.
@KittWitt9 Yes in a fucked up world her crime is what she chooses to do with her body while MEN get away with committing white collar crimes, fleecing people of TRILLIONS in life savings and what do they get....a raise! Yes, she would have been the best at any career in an unjust world. OPEN YOUR EYES, LITTLE LAMB, BEFORE THE SLAUGHTER!
@HappyHooker83 - my lil sister felt rejected by all family bc of her model turned escort /writer choices- even unmarried pregnancy creates suicides more often than we like to admit- of course she ended in river- like oprah s father said "id rather have a daughter floating in river rather than have my family disgraced by unwed pregnancy- thats fathers day - i miss her- but she fell in love w man- --mistake
Jeanie you did an amazing interveiw. You have honoured your mother by allowing us to know her interest.Your love of her is so obvious.I wish you the best in life .Looking forward to hearing about your success.
It was good to see Sarah's daughter Jeanie share her memories about her mom. Sarah was a dear friend of mine when she vanished in 1998. RIP Sarah Jean de Vries.
Thanks

@blondebuni4u this is not about your people it is about one girl's life who had a black mother and an absent native father, and a white family....
