And handmade masks. In Power Director, you can paste a video on top of another video as a Picture in Picture (PiP) object. You can also apply a mask to a PiP object. The mask tells PD what part of the PiP object to display and what part to hide. End result, if multiple videos have the same background, you can make it look like there's multiple clones of someone.

What i managed to do is just add A video in Video.

I'm just wondering how you actually add a clone of just yourself and remove the surroundings from around your body. That i dont get.

Masks are the answer. The white part of a mask renders that part of the PiP object visible, and the black part of a mask renders that part of the object transparent.

I sent you one of their tutorials just now. HTH.

It's a shame though that the manual doesn't even mention PiP masks. Maybe just the Japanese manual that doesn't mention them, but it's still an unfortunate gap.

To give you fair warning, this was all hand-rolled masks. Hand-rolling of masks is not a function that Power Director itself has. I poked around with hexdump, Perl, and good old Jasc Paint Shop Pro 9 before I figured out how. To make it look clean you also need a text editor that can handle Unicode, such as Hidemaru, so you can hand-tweak the project file.

PD7 can do a lot, but sometimes it takes some tweaking.

Ok so i've just installed it check it out and i saw that the PIP objects are just Jpg's and pictures in general.

How did you add another MOVING clone of yourself?

I'm pretty Experienced with Photoshop, can i do it with that? I dont know what a Hand Rolling mask is :P

PiP objects can be either images or other videos. Not sure where you got the impression they are just pictures.

Hand rolling a mask is just an expression I made up for creating a mask from scratch. Full explanation needs a video of its own.

PD comes with several pre-installed masks that the manual does not mention, although one of CyberLink's YouTube channels has some tutorials.

ANYways, before you try anything like this, I recommend you try something simpler, more basic. Just one of you on the left, and one of you on the right.
