Quan chi ordered both Scorpion and Subzero to recover an artifact,they both found it at the same time,they fought,Subzero won.

After that Quan chi murdered scorpions wife and clan and ressurected scorpion to recover the artifact from subzero,who took it for himself.

He killed the Older SZ,then realised his mistake and went after Quan Chi

His younger brother wants to avenge him,the older brother became Noob Saibot AKA Creators of MK Boon and Tobias

The Sub Zero in this game is the 1st Sub Zero (Bi Han.) This video game takes place during the same timeline as the MK Trilogy, with all original characters. I wish they would have kept Kuai Liang as Sub Zero and his older brother Bi Han as Noob Saibot in this game, unless there's a part 10!
