how did you learn how to knit? because i don't know anyone that knits. only crochets. and crochet is easy, but knitting is WAY cleaner. unfortunately its difficult for me to learn how to knit besides just "knit" and "purl". and i've been dying to make those mittens for MONTHS, but cannot for the life of me do it haha
@qwertyuiops12345678 So far it is! I'm hoping to post another this week to update the progress on a baby blanket I haven't touched since November. Crossing my fingers I can get to that soon :)
@byamandacari It comes and it goes! I've just been really excited to knit and crochet since I finally have time to do so. I'm sure it'll all become slow-going again once classes start in January. Wah.
@sewfuntosew11 You are a martyr, my friend! lol. I think once I get the hang of it, it won't be so bad. It was trying to figure out the math for myself... it made me angry!
love the idea behind these videos. heres a suggestion to make ur gift more then just the stockings. if u do choose to do it one per family then u coudl buy little items and fill the stockings including something small for each person in the family even family pets. just an idea i thought i should throw out there
Hi, I just discovered and subscribed to your channel, this was a great vlog post. I hope you get everything done that you wanted to by x-mas! I did that one year with quilts, one for each cousin, phew, that was stressful. The gloves came out great, and loved the stockings!
Wow! Way to go in the stockings. I have to admit, I was a little concerned with you getting them finished, thank God for a thinking husband! The fingerless mitts came out great.
I like the name.. knit knacks..cute: ) question for you.. do you find that you knit faster or crochet faster? you did amazing job. also, could you do a video on how you figure out your pattern using math...I would love to learn more on how to do it
@adriennebdesign I definitely crochet faster, but I can knit pretty quickly if the pattern is easy and in the round. So the stockings haven't been too bad for me. I will totally try to post a video about figuring out math. A lot of it is "fudging" the pattern to work, but I try to at least work out SOME math first so I can at least see where I went wrong :D
@askmisscris I hate them! Haha. I've tried doing two before this and messed up both times. But now that I did the research myself, I feel more confident about them. We'll see what happens on the next stocking, lol. Maybe everything I show will start to be socks!
@yayascreativecorner Definitely! I'm getting a new camera for Christmas that should take much better quality video than both my digital camera and webcam, so I plan to start filming some in the new year. I have a video up for requests if you're interested! :D
Love, Love, Love Knit Knacks. Those gloves you knit are fabulous and the stockings are great. Your husband is a genius - I ditto his idea of 1 stocking per family. Have a great Christmas and beware of grouchy holiday shoppers. LOL
@spanky3610 He's great, isn't he? lol. I have to remember and thank him for the idea since it will save me hours of crying. Have a great Christmas, too!
