when we first got pay TV in 1983 First Choice and Superchannel were two separate services, and where you lived depended on which one you'd have access to. They eventually amalgamated after a couple of years of individual operation, and several of the other initial pay TV channels (like C Channel) ceased operation entirely. The very first movie played on First Choice was "Star Wars". Initially they'd play ESPN boxing matches and Playboy fare on Friday nights too.
This is before PC got bad and you had to feel sorry crooks and be their co-dependants.

Damn, even when the trailer is relatively short, they can't make it good. I'm so glad I'm around now to see people actually make watchable trailers.

The movie actually came out in 1983. It's a great trailer either way, though.
