If the book had never existed, then this movie would have been awesome. Probably one of the best werewolf movies out there. However, the movie pales in comparison to the novel, and does Gabriel's character a great disservice. Still enjoyable though. :)
He is the perfect Gabriel. I just wish the character of Gabriel had been written a little closer to how it was in the novel because Gabriel is the BEST character in the whole book and ends the hero. I love him. Thanks for watching everybody! Love from Rollergirl
in the book astrid was a total bitch, but in teh movie it seems as she good which is weirdd. in the book when she died i was like hell yea! but in teh movie im like tsktsktsktsk
I know. I read the book and I like that story better than the movie for one main reason ... that Gabriel is the BEST character in the story. I really wish they had kept to the story line of the book. It would have been cool to see Gabriel become leader of the pack by test of strength and also woo the girl in the end. Doh! Still love Blood and Chocolate anyway ... because Olivier Martinez is Gabriel. Great cast. Thanks for writing in Bubble. Love from Rollergirl
He was an "absolute" leader. He did what he or any other leader of that pack would have done, set aside his personal feelings for the greater good of the pack. Just curious, have you ever read the book? It's completely different from the movie. The book is SO much better. The movie did the character of Gabriel a great disservice. Thanks for posting. Love from Rollergirl
Such a shame that Astrid hit a sore note with Gabriel. In all his wisdom could he not see the way Astrid felt & that was the very same fate he would afflict upon Viv? Bruised his pride to be thought of in such a way & he feared it to be an accurate portrayal. Out of loss of pride banished her. I think he truly feared that Viv may be the love of his life & why would he deserve her if he was such a man.
He made a terrible mistake by banishing Astrid, he owed her more love & respect.
i really do like this movie blood and chocolate .
