FANTASTIC MOVIE! I love it. Probably the best Pixar movie I've ever seen. I have yet to see Wall-E, but I honestly have trouble beleiving this can be topped. I have never cried so much during a movie and still came out of it feeling so happy. It was absolutely brilliant. Maybe or or two VERY minor flaws. Easily one of my favourite films. If you haven't see it, what are you wiating for?!

Well that's weird... I can never tell the difference in quality. My TV, it'll show programs listed in 720P and 1080i. I don't know if it is actually broadcast in both of those or not since I never found out of mine's a 720p or 1080i tv im guessing 720p since it was pretty cheap.

Yes. It does. To see 1080p from blu-ray, you have to have a 1080p TV. If you have a 720p TV, you will only see 720p. 1080i should look close to 1080p. But 1080p is the only true HD.

well most tv's that do 720p do 1080i.. they slightly scale it down from 1440x1080 which is officially what 1080i is to 1366x768 which is what tv's labelled 'HD Ready' can display. :)

1080i uses interlaced, and uses interleaving to make frames, which usually accounts for a smaller frame rate because, unless you pause it, the whole picture is never there. Where as 1080p generates the whole picture, and gives a more digital look

So you can understand it, unlike most of the know-it-alls here who could care less about informing you, I'll tell you how it works. Basically your TV, when in 1080i mode, displays only "half" of the picture at one time, then displays the other half on the next frame it puts out. This process is known as "interlacing". P stands for "progressive scan" which means that all lines of the display are being used simultaneously, giving better picture than "i".

Actually, I believe the regular youtube "HD" option is somewhere around 500 something lines, closer to DVD.

That being said, youtube is going to include a full 1080p option soon. Whether this trailer will get reconverrted by youtube is anyone's guess. They did it for all the 720 footage uploaded and brought it up to 500 lines.
