Couldn't agree more...was one of the last sods to go there; Head Master came into assembly one morning before Summer and said the Abbot had decided not to reopen the school after the summer holidays. Happiest day of my life.
What a whitewash!! i was there in the early sixties. It was a crap school but would have certainly made the grade as a boot camp!! Perhaps this video belongs to a later more liberal age but in my day daily thrashings with the belt and birch, endemic pilfering and institutionalised bullying were routine. The food was awful too. It taught survival and liltle else.
