  • man what good and true song, reggae music is like rap except it barley has any lyrics about killing people, selling drugs, and thugs and stuff, and it has an awsome beat.

  • That is because this is where Rap came from. The decendants from Jamaica would hold dances the way they do in Jamaica. The DJs at times would play the side of the record with no voice and spend that time talking over it. Sometimes poking fun at people in the crowd. Allot of the Rap artists were either Jamaican or decendants. Like Biggie Small and Heavy D

  • Not all rap talks about "killing people and selling drugs and thugs and stuff"

  • try looking elsewhere than mainstream rap. artists like Lupe Fiasco, Pharoahe Monch, and Common do not rap about any of these things. dont make generalizations about things u dont know about

  • When Jamaicans were afraid to speak out about the terror they were going through. This song was their voice. A Chinese Jamaican told me they could not go to school or work.
