The picture shown from 1:32 to 1:39 might hurt a couple of my brothers here. But i appreciate the artist who presented this piece of art. Lord Shiva represents both calmness with the moon on his head and anger with his open 3rd eye, or by the Tandava. The picture just represents the rage of the god. I dont see Shiva doing any type of violence in that picture. If we all know that why Lord shiva used to perform Tandava, we might accept the sight of the artist to represent the Shiva's rage. Om!

You are true about Shiv Tandav & The third eye depicts Anger and not Cruelty. My disappointement with the picture is, Shivji's face looks more cruel which is dead against to his personality. Anger and Cruel are quite different. that's all. Nothing more.

I agree brother. but what i feel is that there is a very less difference between rage and cruelty. the difference between them is that when when you hurt someone without any reason because of your anger it turn outs to be cruelty. whereas rage is that excitement which occurs during the process of flow of that emotion. but the origin of both the rage and the cruelty is the same and that is anger. This is why the expression in both the cases will be same.

Lord Shiva, instead of being cruel, used Tadva to calm his anger. Dance was not only used in case of anger but for every emotion. its a wide topic why singing and dance were used and even worshipped in ancient days and cant be discussed here. but my point is only that a person in cruel by his acts and not by his appearance.
