All I can say is OUR LONG NIGHTMARE IS OVER. And as a wheelchair user myself, I think Chris Mathews needs to remember that FDR, who could not stand unaided, used a wheelchair and he got the country back on its feet -- unlike Cheney who put us in the lowest state we've been in in eight years.

Wheelchair = metaphor for low esteem? I would like to tell Mr. Matthews that my wheelchair is a tool enabling me to be mobile and active in my community.

I am as happy as most other Americans to see the end of this wasteful, brutal, destructive Administration. I'll be glad if Cheney never again returns to Washington. However, that has nothing to do with a wheelchair. To suggest that it does is an insult to all people who use wheelchairs for mobility. Mr. Matthews owes us an apology.
