  • I am absolutely entranced by how beautiful the ocelot is. And it's my dream to have a Savannah cat one day.

  • One person is a PETA fanatic.

  • Love some of the names you have for the cats. :D

  • where's max?

  • @aderollerolls We made a separate video introducing all the bobcats at the sanctuary previously, but Max wasn't at the sanctuary when we made it. But this video showcases all the "other" species at Big Cat Rescue :)

  • @BigCatRescue oooh i see...

  • Lynx's seem the most unfriendly

  • wait, was "Baby Cakes" a cat? What is a Genet?

  • @GemRubyDiam0nd Genets are Old World mammals from the order Carnivora, suborder Feliformia, family Viverridae, and subfamily Viverrinae. They are related to civets, linsangs, fossa, and mongooses

  • Ocelots have amazing coat patterns! No wonder some selfish pricks keep them as pets D:

  • Don't the tamer ones miss human contact? The ones that ran up to the camera were obviously friendly. Also, why do people get these cats in the first place? Do they think they will be just like a domestic cat? We can't get them in Australia, and I'm glad. It must put pressure on the wild populations. I love cats, but they do eat birds.

  • @mogifikawaii All of our cats can appear friendly, but this can all change very quickly, believe me. These are all wild species of cats and will always have their wild instincts. It all comes down to ego, people want something different and unique so they feel special, they don't really care about the animals' welfare.

  • It must be so hard to resist petting them... they're absolutely cute!

  • So we're is this located??

  • @MultiPimpProduction Hi we are located in Tampa, Florida :)

  • Do the asians ever try to eat them? lol

  • OMG the sand cat <3 lol

  • BIG or small, they all looks adorable.

  • who gets to name the cats?

  • @armondpb Usually the cats already have names when we rescue them which we keep, if not the staff and volunteers decide together.

  • in 1:53 i thought that mice, not a cat.....

  • @Nepalikancha007 nope, cat :> genets, they are fascinating^^ and cute :3

  • Khajit- a cat and human hybrid

  • The Geoffroy cat looks like a normal black cat, if I saw it walking down the street I wouldn't notice any different.

  • These little guys are great.

  • and binturing.. is that even a cat?

  • @BiggestFanOfCynder Nope, Binturongs are more closely related to the civet/mongoose

  • 1:11 why does that looks soooooo like my old cat emilio

  • Do u ever pet them???

  • @Cheyannelove23 No we're a strictly no contact facility.

  • At the end it looks like the ocelot has killed a lion???

  • plz answer this do you have like a place were ppl can go and look at them

  • I love Caracals, everyone always gets them confused with lynx, personally I can tell the difference.

  • do big cats like cat nip?

  • So you see my secret message on my other post.

  • Your videos are great!

On your videos all about cats?

    Ugh Where's your new videos?

Some of your videos make me laugh!

My videos has a funny video of a cat.

    Eew some cats can't pure.

    Love your videos!

    Love your cats!

  • i like the name nirvana for the female ocelot :D

  • They're so cute... yet so majestic.

Will never look at my cat the same again :P

  • This all looks really familiar. I think I visited this place when I was younger...where are you located? I'd love to visit again.

  • ugh i REALLY want to go to this place. I'm in california though. too bad its off the other side of the country -____- :( i love cats more than anyone!

  • Suprisingly, I knew what all of them where. (Breeds) Haha, I love Grace! :D

  • 0:00 Cogar:....SAY WHA!?!?

  • @XxScarTheWolfXx BRILLIANT.

  • @ouijanov XD

  • PS I love binturongs, thanks for sharing this video!

  • Is Nico a melanistic Geoffroy cat? All the ones I'm finding pictures of are spotted like ocelots.

  • Cool video! I had no idea that you provided sanctuary for species other than cats. Just another reason to love BCR. :)

  • So, are the smaller cats any less or more dangerous than the larger ones? What I mean to say is, are they any more agressive and wild?

Also, another question...I have a friend who briefly kept a tiger cub in his home for about two weeks while he got it to a sancutary, does that have a negative effect on the animal even for a brief period of time?

  • Always love your videos! What kind of enrichment does the civet enjoy?

  • @riah729 With give Calvin the same enrichment as the cats, scented tubes and paper bags, plus bloodcicles and fruitcicles :) The civets and binturongs also enjoy pine cones with treats like fig newtons or marshmallows stuffed inside!

  • i wish i had money to donate :(

  • they are not happy!

  • 0:50 no shit that's a male

  • Aw, Canyon and Genie look sort of like house cats, very cute. I googled Geoffroy cat and all the ones I saw were spotted! Is it rare for them to be black like Nico?

  • @meadowfrance Yes, Nico is melanistic, just like black leopards etc... Everybody thinks she's a domestic cat on tours! :)

  • Does the ocelot have bo-legs? If its apart of the spieces then I've never noticed it before.

  • They all have amazing names.. Love them all !

  • It is pretty amazing how similar house cats look to their wild ancestors. They are beautiful!

  • If you have a lynx named Apollo, wouln't it be insulting to him to have another lynx named Zeus?

  • bango scared the sh!t outta me when i first saw him comin around the corner

  • i haven even heard od half theese cats

  • I love Sand Cats-3

  • What is exactly a Binturong? A primitive version of wild cat?

  • @Juliaundmich Binturongs are reltaed to the mongoose.

  • @Juliaundmich No, they are more closely related to civets and the mongoose etc... they have no relation to cats :)

  • @Juliaundmich not related to cats IN ANY WAY

  • i want to see more of Nico,Baby Cakes and Sassy

  • Ocelots <3

  • Love it! Do you still have the three-legged serval? How is she doing? And how about the servals you got from New York? Are they doing well? Losing weight?

  • @CurlyJessie Yes, we still have Desiree the three legged serval she's doing really well, loves dinner time and is very vocal. Zoul one of the NY servals unfortunately passed away (heart disease) the other 4 are doing very well, eating well and look better that when we rescued them.

  • I am so glad you are providing a wonderful and loving sanctuary for these cats and relatives. I am also sadly astonished by people who think that these smaller species are suitable pets when, in fact, they are far harder to care for than a regular domesticated dog or cat.

  • Apolo, Zeus and Nirvana sweeet haha

  • aack binturong....wild ones love my parent's fruit farm during fruiting season.

and oh, that's the fluffiest binturong I've ever seen.

  • lovely

  • Beautiful! Some of them look like house cats it's crazy! Was surprised at the savanna those are half domestic!

  • 2:25 yeah im chillin

  • The Binturongs are awesome. I don't think I've ever heard of them before! And of course, all your kitties are beautiful :D

  • beautiful animals

  • its called guzoo but im in canada and its been hard for me to do much cuz i wasn't of age till last year and now that i am i still dot know how to fix this problem like my government knows how bad it is and the new has been involved but no one seems to really care how are so ways you get the community to care

  • Beautiful video

I really like it. :) Great job!

  • @bennystropical Thanks for watching!

  • Sooo sweet :) but can we get an update on the Kringle the kitten rescued around Christmas please :D

  • @Laurakinstm Kringle is doing well, she's living at Big Cat Rescue still and eating well and getting more comfortable around people :)

  • I love all these animals, they all look so happy and healthy. Thank you to the people caring for them so well.

  • how do you sit down some of these road side zoos because im trying to help shut one down in my area but we have been trying for years and they know about the abuse but its still running and im not quite sure how to get it shut down

  • @feartheshortone If you visit our website you can find contact info for representatives of your state, what is the name of the facility?

  • hey my name is rose

  • I've sponsored Genie before, my car keychain is of her. x3 She's a shy sweetie! WHich reminds me~time to sponsor!

  • @Reinminer Thanks for the support! :)

  • stop the zoo ! liberty to animals

  • @fidorf LOL

  • @fidorf We are a sanctuary for rescued animals we are not a zoo.

  • serval is my lov ~! <3

  • keep up the great work BCR!

  • Hmm...some of these cats look like Pokemon...

  • The ocelot is definitely one of the coolest cats ever.

  • Okay... I have a question about binturongs. I've heard they smell like buttered popcorn, is this true? I've had the overwhelming urge to just sniff one since I heard it... as weird as that sounds O_o

  • @iRainbowUnicorn Yep! They definitely give off this smell :)

  • @BigCatRescue Really? That is so interesting, and weird at the same time! Now I really have to sniff one... adding that to my bucket list.

  • Is that ocelot purring or growling at 0:28?

  • @LadyJennivieve I think its purring.

  • @LadyJennivieve Its purring :)

  • Your videos are always so well filmed and presented. I'd be in awe to see these magnificent creatures in person. Thank you for the vicarious thrill =o)

  • ZOMG, MOAR SANDCAT VIDEOS! :-) I love the sandcats. (and yes, I've donated)

  • @42tedder Thanks for donating we will try and make more sand cat videos!! :)

  • These cats are too adorable to be wild beasts of murdering lesser creatures :D

  • I wish there was a domestic version of the sand cat. They look so fluffy. D:

  • In the wild, where do sand cats live?

  • @Disneygirl3715 In the Sahara desert, Afghanistan and in that region also :)

  • @BigCatRescue It makes me sad that you guys didn't have the chance to save the central asian tiger :( stupid poachers

  • I love the Ocelots. They're such georgous creatures. And every time I see Nico she reminds me of a black cat called Nelson who turned up on our street and decided to move in with our neighbours.

  • Why is Diablo in a cage ? Savannah aren't domestic cats ?

  • @themetroidprime

True Savannah Cats are wild animals and it is illegal to own them as pets. The more common are the domestic version (also called Savannah Cat) that have been selectively bred to resemble the wild Savannah, but actually have no relation, genetically. They do look strikingly similar, though.

A woman fell in love with the Wild Savannah Cat on a safari or something, and when she returned home she set out to breed a domestic version that resembled it as closely as possible.

  • @Palitato Nope. You're talking about Servals. The Savannah cats were created in the 80's by breeding Servals with domectic cats. Savannah cats are now a spcific race of domectic cat, that's why I'm asking why do they have one in BCR.

  • @themetroidprime Savannah cats don't exist in the wild just to clarify. They are bred as exotic pets, yet many still retain a lot of their wild instincts, so they spray and do not want to be around people. Many people spend thousands to own something unique but end up with an animal that doesn't want to live in their home, so they give them up.

  • @BigCatRescue Okay. I didn't know Savannah (even F1) could be that wild. Thank you :)

  • Never would have guessed that the binturong somehow belongs to the big cat family. What a strange creature it is :-)

  • Fantastic felines! I keep cats, too. I have a house cat, but I started feeding a domestic barn cat at our barn who was abandoned, and in no time a female feral cat started stalking me as I fed the barn cat and began stealing from her, too. I named her Stalker. I've now fed her and several litters of what I call "hawk food," her babies, for over three years. She will not let you touch her, yet she adores me. She waits for me to come home from work daily. The tiny cat also kills water moccacins!

  • I love Banjo! ;D

  • Man it's been a while since I saw a civets, they always run around my house once in a while.

  • 0:50 Canyon - Sand Cat (male) - *shows off his nuts to the camera*

  • so cute

  • How is 'Shaniqua' pronouced? what a pretty name for a pretty kitty :)

  • @Sanchara Sha - neek - qwa :)

  • What's a Siberian lynx? Is it family of the Iberian lynx?

  • @GroteB Ah, Eurasian lynx.

  • @GroteB Yep eurasian/siberian, same animal :)

  • I would love to have a Caracal

  • You guys and the cats are do awesome

  • Awesome! All are beautiful, I love the sand cats!

  • I didn't know what a binturong was before this video. What a beautiful animal.

  • Are you hiring? I want to spend every day of my life there.

  • @zxcvbnm1256 We're always looking for volunteers! Visit our website: BigCatRescue*org for more info!

  • Aww... Rose flicking her ears like that is SO cute :)

  • Cute!! <3<3

  • Wow, first time seeing many of these breeds!

  • I wonder how much faux fur and stuffing would it take to make a life-size tiger plushy

  • You guys are fucked. I'd only pay that price to buy one of those cats lol.

  • Do another video just about your civets, genets, and binturongs, you could talk about how they are close cousins of the cats.

  • @EoceneRoxton We plan to do a Binturong species spotlight in the future :)

  • Canyon the Sand Cat, likes so much like my cat Sandy!!! Hmmm....A Sand Cat looks like a cat named Sandy, coincidence?! I don't know, but I think it's awesome! +:-)

  • 1:32 I believe the jungle cat is the predecessor of all our little crazy domesticated friends. Am I right?

  • @MarkQuinn2k7 Both jungle cat and african wildcat.

  • What do you think the animals think about when they see the camera's? Do they ever think that maybe millions of people are watching them?

  • @101FallingRock They probably wonder what it is and what it tastes like! :)

  • I always thought that Mr E and Trick-E were the same cat.

  • LOL SHANIQUA!!!

  • Hi! I noticed one of your cats is a savanah cat? Well, I heard those can be kept as pets now! How come you have them at your rescue?

  • @Teddie120 You're right they are popular as exotic pets" ... unfortunately. Diablo our savannah cat was probably a former "pet" he was found in someone's garage, what the savannah breeders don't tell buyers is that these cats still spray and they still retain many of their wild instincts. So in most cases they do not make good pets which is why many are unwanted.

  • my cat's name is Rose too (though she's not caracal, just a kitty cat)

  • Hello Big Cats, hope to see you in August. A Purrrrrrrrrr from ♥♥Jeannette♥♥ Holland

  • @jikkehond It'll be nice and hot then! Try to visit on a weekend when we offer morning tours and the cats are more active :)

  • Why do you guys have so many Ocelots?

  • @enzo275 We only have 4 ocelots, we have over 30 bobcats and over 20 servals at the sanctuary, many smaller species of cats are popular as so called "pets" until the owners realize what a huge mistake they have made1

  • I didn't realize you had so many species , love from the UK .

  • aww, no margay. :( oh well, I suppose they aren't very well known anyway.

  • great video guys!! :D keep it up! :)

  • i want to hug them. so cute!!

  • @WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWVWW Not to be rude but why is your user name all ws?

  • @Disneygirl3715 I like having unique user name :) hhahaha

  • Bean is so so so soooo cute!

  • geoffroy cat looks like domestic house cat

  • 1:05 I never knew that type of leopard existed. I've laways known them for their spots.

  • I love your geoffroy cat.

  • Do you ever make contact with Nico since he isn't as dangerous as the others? Please respond :)

  • @spazzycat28 @ *she

  • @spazzycat28 You'd be surprised how much "catitude" the smaller cats have! Nico is just as dangerous as a serval or bobcat, we don't have any contact with our cats :)

  • the Caracal looks so awesome -- i want one as a pet !!! (j/k)

  • d'awwwwwwwwww

  • tyes....we can SEE Canyon is a male XDDDDD

  • I just donated $500. That was my Christmas gift to get a new iPod but I decided to give it to a good cause. I love Big Cat Rescue!!

  • @DavidCookFan21 I'm currently unemployed, but if I can find work before my birthday, my gift to myself is sponsoring a lion from here. I hope. :)

  • @DavidCookFan21 WOW! Thank you so much for your support, without people like you we could not continue with our mission, THANK YOU!!! :)

  • is the second one a sand cat?

  • @Horsepassion4life Yep, we have two at the sanctuary, Canyon (male) and Genie (female)
