  • Its comforting to know that more and more people are shaking off the shackles of religion.

  • Atheist majority cannot happen soon enough!

  • its called evolution people..We are getting smarter for our own good...

  • The US is finally catching up to the rest of the first world nations. People are understanding that this planet is just a spec in the vastness of the universe & the puny self centered explanations that religions & thr holy books give for our existance r not sufficient. Also this is part of the 9/11 momentum realizing that the dichotomies that religions create r incredibly destructive and hateful. This is the only life u get so enjoy it, make the best of it for urself & those around u.

  • Perhaps there is still hope for USA...

  • This is great news. I have to wonder if part of this is the result of the growth of the Internet and social media. Atheists can come out and talk freely without being shouted down or punished by teachers, parents, employers, landlords, etc. I have no problem with the fact that many people are tailoring their own custom religions. This is a solid step on the road to atheism. I believe there's a lot of people who are closet atheists, but go along to get along.

  • Well that's when u know people are getting smarter

  • I bet an atheist conducted the "study."

  • @guyNbluejeans Lol if you don't trust it just look at national polls, it will show you the same pattern. Religion in on decline and atheism/agnosticism is on the rise in America.

  • @AndresPetMonkey Things are Spiritually bad in the world and especially here the U.S., no argument there. But due to certain things soon coming down the pike you will see Christianity have a strong resurgence. satan has done a masterful job of duping many, but Jesus is greater than satan and so you can be sure that His plan will win many, many converts ... and as that happens more much needed spiritual light will flood into the world, knocking satan, his agenda, and his followers to the canvas!

  • @guyNbluejeans LOOOL Yeah... we'll see... o_o

  • @guyNbluejeans

You should be ashamed of yourself.

  • @SteinUndStahl666 Please, finish your thought.

  • Religion is dying.. Finally!! Finally we can march toward the real PEACE!!!

  • This didn't sound right. I've almost never heard those reasons to become an Atheist. They sound so shallow. There are perfectly good reasons to leave a religion from seeing all the harm it causes, noticing the lies, not seeing any evidence, or quite simply not believing anymore.

  • religion is dying- thats why the ignorant nutjob christians are fighting so desperately- but theres really no point- its just prolonging the inevitable-we may not see it in our lifetimes but sooner or later the human race will abandon religion altogeter-and what a better place the world will be then!

  • People choose disbelief in religion for one very simple reason, it isn't to be rebellious, it has nothing to do with being fashionable, it has nothing to do with self belief.

It is simply because there is no evidence that god exists.

  • Good for you America! It's time to grow the fuck up!

We might be the worlds super power, but we're also a laughing stock because of the IDiot fundies in this country.

We're like the big christian bully who beats smaller kids, then just prays to be forgiven before doing it again...

  • I am an atheist and I am proud of it. This is because my family isn't religous, we never have. People who are religous ask me what atheist do and I just tell them we don't care about imaginary friends. Some people say that atheist don't live happy, but the truth is I am much more jolly than my religous friends. I would die for my family like a religous person and care about others.

  • "People who CHOOSE nonbelief" What an idiotic spin on the facts. People don't choose their beliefs. Can you choose to disbelieve in gravity? Can you choose to believe in the Tooth Fairy? It seems that both politics and mainstream media are intentionally selecting the worst and dumbest, but who happen to look good.

  • @eventhisidistaken Yes. I was about to write the same when I saw your comment. No one "choses" it. It simply happens.

  • @eventhisidistaken theres many baptists who don't think that gravity exists, or that the earth is round. You can CHOOSE to ignore facts. lol

  • COME ON AMERICA. JESUS FUCKING CHRIST IT'S STILL TAKING YOU LOT AGES TO DRAG YOURSELF INTO THE 21ST CENTURY. THERE IS NO GOD AND CHRISTIANITY IS A RACKET. WELCOME TO RATIONAL THOUGHT.

  • w00t

  • Great news. More and more people realize that religions are just b.s.

  • The end of religion in America will be the death of America. Trust me don't believe the athiest hype. Without spirituality you are nothing but cattle.

  • @CheekiShit "Without spirituality you are nothing but cattle."

Don't a lot of religious people call themselves sheep? Atheist/agnostic majority countries like Norway and Sweden are doing just fine without religion, in fact even better than America. Seems to me, your definition of cattle seems to fit "A free thinking rationalist". Go pray to the imaginary friend you just happened to subscribe to.

  • @TheLocustSupremacist ha. We are slaves to God. You are slaves to man made constructed systems of control that has beginnings and ends. Atheist put their faith in that or their faith in technology which is not the basis of life but the means of it, and their means of the west are not for the progression of humanity but for profit, dictatorship and global control. Sweden and Norway are a different case entirely. America who stress the free of religion blah blah blah, democracy blah blah blah(1/2)

  • @TheLocustSupremacist America was created from genocide of the Indians, it's energy was black human slavery, it has caused more wars then any other nation in the world; Japan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam, golf war, all under the pretense of human rights when it was done out of destroying anything that doesnt bow down to it.

After all that America is top of the worlds nations with the most crimes and shit.

    Fix up.

  • @CheekiShit umm So what did you mean by end of religion being end of America?

  • @TheLocustSupremacist Religion is man made. But it's point is spirituality. All societies reach their apex in history then slowly start to decline. The best way to enslave someone is to make them think they're free, more free then anyone else in the world. Society is based on religion, religion is based on worship of god or spirituality. When you get rid of your beginning you begin to meet your end. in a short summary. hope that makes sense.

  • @CheekiShit

Actually society is based on language (the ability to communicate) which is intrinsically tied to the sense of self... so in short, society is based on the individual. God and religion and spirituality are the byproducts of the society, not the foundation.

And as for your statement that atheists put their faith in technology... don't think so. As an atheist I put my faith in myself, because I know that I am the only one who can make a difference in my life!

  • @Spetsop Language is not tied to the sense of self, language is a "Tool" for us to communicate with eachother, for order and justice. the point of communication is not individualism as your argument is, there is nothing individual about language as language is universal, if it was that would mean everyone has a individual language. Since the beginning of time Religion is the foundation of society. Period.

Yes you live for yourself, that does no one else good aside from you.

  • @CheekiShit

Language is ABSOLUTELY and UNDENIABLY tied to the sense of self! Both phenomenon are the function of the left hemisphere (specifically the temporal lobes), both are required to explain the world! If you don't have language, you don't have society! Religious experiences ALSO arise due to the function of the temporal lobes, and the left hemisphere (with language) tries to explain them. Without language no phenomenon in the world could be explained!

  • @CheekiShit

I'm not saying language is individual, I'm saying the sense of self is individual, which is EXPLAINED by the language!

"Yes you live for yourself, that does no one else good aside from you." You have your individual life, which you shape the way you want, but ultimately you live for the society. If everyone lived for themselves there would be no cohesion, each individual is responsible for providing some benefit to the society they live in, otherwise it would fall apart.

  • @CheekiShit

"Since the beginning of time Religion is the foundation of society. Period." There are atheistic societies, for example in Nordic countries, that are doing MUCH better than most religion based societies out there. Religion, for the most part, is a tool for population control... and basing your society on that is not going to get you far in the long run!

  • @Spetsop Religion is for people to make a conscious choice. It's free will. God is not forcing people to follow religion. And just because Bush drops a few words like God into his speeches doesn't make America a religious nation. Governments are not religious or spiritual in their nature. And Nordic countries are the same. And they have nordic religious heritage.

  • @CheekiShit

America has the most Christians out of all other countries in the world! Islam has spread like a virus all over the middle east! In both, you cannot run for a president unless you ARE religious (even though US constitution says that there MUST be separation from church and state, people will NOT vote for an atheistic president... just look at the last elections, and the questions people asked)!

  • @CheekiShit

Nordic countries might have religious heritage, but it's far different from the religious culture that has overtaken a lot of countries!

God IS absolutely 100% forcing people to follow religion (at least the man made Gods of most popular religions like Christianity and Islam). There is a very severe penalty for those who choose not to follow... free-will is an illusion in such religions (or pretty much in all of them)!

  • @Spetsop Well in Islam and Christianity it says there is no compulsion in religion, you cannot force it on someone as god truly knows who believes and who does no believe.

  • @CheekiShit

Yet both Christianity and Islam still try to force it on people! Christians like to use the Pascal's law a lot, and go door to door, to schools and universities, to street corners, and pretty much everywhere else there is public to preach and try to "save" everyone. Islam is even worse, and in worst case scenarios they even kill if you don't convert or "offend" them and ESPECIALLY if you try to leave the religion!

So, what's the point of the man made religion then?!?

  • @Spetsop Again God does not need religion forced on man, when he has given man free will? man forces other man against his will regardless of the situation, even without religion. Christianity is doing it because they want to save you, they care about you. And Islam does not kill people who don't convert again there's no compulsion in religion.

  • @CheekiShit. muslims will happily kill apostates and christians in many denomantions will dam non beievers to hell. the only saving us rationalists need is from nutjobs that refuse to remove the god glassess in an argument. using fear and gulit to convert others is absolutely shameless.

  • @CheekiShit lol, religion is a cancer.

  • @randomperson2538 What was the question?

  • @Khyrid I know I fucked it up, I'm ameding the question wherever I've posted it.

  • Losing your Religion? Great!

  • This is the 21st century; there shouldn't be ANYONE who believes in stone-age mysticism any more. Even if it's taking a long time, it's comforting to know that we're getting better

  • Well makes sence coz obviously gods are man made creations lol, and realy if u believe in a god then u need to grow up, just live your life, u only get one ;)

  • Religion is a "fashion statement" more than anything? Wow.... what a poor fashion statement.

  • This is EXCELLENT news! Religion is a scam, a mental delusion that should be wiped from the world as one wipes a particularly disgusting stain from your floor.

  • to quote ZOMGitscriss.............WE ARE EVERYWHERE!

  • Texas actually has a "question evolution campaign" that is being implemented in over 80 churches. This is a campaign from the far right to teach creationism in schools!!!!! Hope this fails.....

  • It is about fucking time people pulled their head from their ass.

There is a reason almost all of the worlds greatest thinkers and scientists are Atheist. These type of people see reality for what it is and not how some fool told them to view it. Think for yourself and leave god in the past where it belongs along with all the other dead gods.

  • @scotttebben LOL that was a fitting way to say it.. cos that's where they have their heads if they are going to Catholic schools and getting offended bcos i tell them the earth WASN'T created 6000 yrs ago and in 6 days!!!

    PHEW!!! Crazy world

  • I find that rubbing a rabbits foot is far more reliable than prayer. But this is expected since rabbits are real.

  • Yeehaa..... let's fullfill the stupid book and destroy the world like idiots !!! Let's not be rational. Let's believe shit with no proof. Read stories from people 2000 years ago who were even dumber about the world then the stupidest fucks around today. Let's build a big fire and dance around it and chant. Why not get our brains removed ?? That would help get us to the end quicker.

  • good news!

  • I wonder what the stats is in 2011..

  • John 6:66-69 From that [time] many of his [Jesus] disciples went back, and walked no more with him. Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.

  • @Senteami So the Bible says that xtianity is the right religion? What a surprise. According to the Superman comics, Superman is real. According to practically all scientists, Genesis is fiction. The higher the IQ, the less likely the belief in any of the gods that people have made up.

  • @ndrthrdr1 To add to your point, throughout history millions and millions of gods have been made up and forgot about, same with religions. To claim that yours is the right one is simply pretentious.

  • Rationality and reason are our future!

  • nothing to worry about...its all supposed to happen this way.

  • You see, the closer you get to religion, the more disgusted, invaded and offended you feel, no wonder Texas has most people losing their religion...its just like a virus that contaminates everything it touches....

    Good for them...

  • Religion is retarded. I can't BELIEVE this idiocy is still so important in 2011. Glad to see people becoming more rational.

  • This is a very positive development. It means that many people, young people I believe, are rejecting dogma and doctrine of established religion. Once you've done that, then you are able to listen to rational argument and your mind becomes opened to the realization that you have no good reason or justification to believe in any gods. This is how I went from a Christian to "well, I still believe in a higher power" to an agnostic to an atheist.

  • Atheism is a blight, bred from arrogance and pride (hubris). Sophomoric mentality is required to celebrate the dying of the light. The rich irony is that God exists without the belief of men. I was a crazed atheist, full of vitriol and intolerance once. Then I got to know my soul and grew up a bit. There is a life beyond this one, and many are in for a rude re-awakening. Whatever you believe, the way of Christ is worthy and true, and transcends the corruptions of men and organized religion.

  • @revelinabandon

    A crazed atheist?

    And we really believe you.

All you are trying to do is propagate the lie that is put about regarding atheist saying that they are amoral and do not believe in anything which is a complete fallacy.

  • @CraigDeth Whether you personally believe me or not is irrelevant and unimportant. As for what others think, that's not for you to say, so speak for yourself.

There was a time in my youth, late in high school through my mid twenties, when I had a different outlook on God, and basically renounced faith in general. Like many atheists, I was ugly and aggressive toward others, and tried to assert my world view as dominant and smarter. As I matured, I changed my mind again.

    Never spoke of amorality

  • I don't mind atheists but I hate it when people think "If you believe in God, you are retarded." People have the RIGHT to believe in God, Jesus, Mohammed or Buddha. It's how people misinterpritate religion is the problem.

  • @lamc93 no religion itself is batshit. period.

  • Um this is not true , Islam grows 3% every year and has grown 257% in the past 100 years , imagine in a hundred years buddy

  • but what delusion is going to take religions place afterward and how are corporations gonna manipulate it to get more money?

once atheism takes over they will just use their influence to control everything the same way religion has.

    same conversation regardless:

religious guy now: "you arent christian? whats wrong with you?"

atheist guy now: "nope. nothings wrong with me."

atheist guy later: "you arent atheist? whats wrong with you?"

religious guy later: "nope. nothings wrong with me."

  • @Dahak753 (cont'd) then the capitalists part of the conversation never changes

religious guy now: "you arent christian? whats wrong with you?"

atheist guy now: "nope. nothings wrong with me."

capitalist guy now: "how can we make money off these guys?"

atheist guy later: "you arent atheist? whats wrong with you?"

religious guy later: "nope. nothings wrong with me."

capitalist guy later: "how can we make money off these guys?"

  • @Dahak753 so yeah..delusions are delusions regardless...and money will always win as long as you let it.

  • @Dahak753 I agree with you that capitalism will always try to manipulate people but, while religious people use to swallow down uncritically everything the're indoctrinated to, atheists base their beliefs on reason and critical thinking, so they're not so easy to deceive.

That's why people should get rid of religious credulity, which is the best mean to manipulate them. Teach people to think by themselves, and it wont be easy to control them. ...and most likely they'll become atheists! :-)

  • Every time I start to get down about the future of the US, I get something like this that just gives me a nice warm feeling, and a little bit of, dare I say, hope.

  • The future looks better.

  • Cool... A sign that people are finally waking up from their delusion. ★★★★★

    Katalyzt

  • I think she mad.

  • Implying this is a bad thing.

  • Texas has the most people losing their religion? Heh, I guess the Atheist Experience is doing well.

  • Good signs for the future.

  • The womans tone on this subject was enough to piss me off....

  • So people are starting to believe in themselves. Is that really a bad thing? Honestly, the best statistics I've heard of.

  • Just another bible prophacy coming true. The stage is being set for the final count down and so many sit clueless of whats going on around them. Not seeing evidence for God will be a lame excuse for many!

  • It seems a new Age of Reason is coming into being ... Certainly, no society suffered from an overabundence of reason ... Hallelujah !!! & good riddance !!!

  • I wish that could happen all over the world, specially in those intolerant countries.

  • @BiblePreacher889 well said sir, religion does and should play a major role in our lives

  • Wow, Texas is top of the list - maybe 'The Atheist Experience' (hosted out of Austin Texas) is educating the masses down there.

  • Just believe in what you can see, what you can touch....places like Sweden, Finland, Amsterdam and even United Kingdom, people are happier and there are very low percentage of religious faith. Religion clutters the mind....free your mind. Go religion-less.

  • This makes me happy. If there are atheists in Texas, there is hope for the world yet.

  • Islam says hello!

  • Vermont is high on the list, Arkansas is low.... Any questions?

  • wow. I can't believe this. I couldn't notice this because i live in an overwhelmingly religious country in europe, but i guess things have greatly changed elsewhere.

  • Good!

  • YAY! People are becoming more intelligent! -happy dance-

  • Well this is wonderfull. Even one of the dumbest countries on this planet is shaking off superstition. Good for you, USA.

  • Cool I'm glad more people are stopping believing in fairy tales and superstitions. The more people that open their eyes to reason the better. Religion and the belief in god only causes hatred and intolerance,it divides families, promotes bigotry, bloodshed, and the list just goes on and on. All in the name of belief in god.

  • @GenericChristJesus Religion actually created the roots for altruism and mutual care. Labeling all things as good or all things as bad actually doesn't help your argument at all, rather lowers your credibility as someone who has done his/her research.

  • @itawdhmun Really? Or is that yet another thing that religion is trying to steal from before it even existed...like marriage, morality and he-who-is-the-light-of-the-world? Altruism and mutual care existed before man even had language, claiming religion created it is beyond ridiculous.

  • @GenericChristJesus yes because most of the people who are locked up for violent crimes are church going christians and the other day a jehovahs witness did a drive by on my house and thoose rabbis keep selling crack to our children better stay away from thoose temples i heard they have unprotected sex partys full of hiv you joke

  • @MrTruthtalking Actually, I read somewhere (can't recall the source, you'll have to accept it by faith) that very few inmates are atheists - a much smaller rate than in the general populace. Meaning that atheists are more honest than believers. (Or at least they are smarter, so they don't get caught.)

  • @nightsdreamparadox thats because when you hit rock bottom and everyone else leaves you including family and friends Gods voice wil still be there to save you from all the hate. But its hard to explain to a guy like me there is no God because of multiple encounters of signs that fit like a puzzle thru out my life. But do you mean to tell me out of all the years divided by days youve lived your life you havent come accross 1 sign that God is real WOW If i where you I would be an athiest too

  • @MrTruthtalking

Thats becuase the things you believe are evidence of a creator are no more than the mundane coincidences that happen to us all. If you add that to the brains proven ability to generate feelings of transcendence & well being while contemplating everything from. Allah, Jesus , Thor, Vishnu or any other mythical god. Then you have no evince whatsoever.

Every religious experience is nothing more than the product the the believing brain.

  • @MohamedChaariSfaxTN

  • Reading from a the bible is like eating garbage the more you eat the more you get sick. After buying the bible you may also be interested in this Unicorn. The Unicorn has never been ridden before and can easily fit into your imagination.

  • Jesus said in the last days they would fall away. Guess He was right again.

  • Trolls? Me? no, I am not a troll.

  • In GOOD we trust.

  • I believe Texas has the lowest because of that show THE ATHEIST EXPERIENCE is located in Texas and has the Atheist, agnostic, and the religious listening. I've seen that show really demolish the religious people that call in to debate it. Youtube it if you want to see for yourself.

  • Why are the numbers of non-believers so high? The real question is why are they so low, considering the rest of the developed world has largely abandoned religion as the archaic notion it is.

  • The reason why more people are dumping religion is because human beings are evolving and getting smarter.

  • @TheOpenMinded12460 First of all Moses in Exodus 21 : 7 Says you may SELL your own daughters! In Leviticus 20 has executions for adultery, homosexuality, and even profanity! However in Exodus 32 : 27-28 In this battle Moses's Army KILLED every man, every boy and every non-virgin woman and non-virgin girls but they ABDUCTED every young virgin woman and virgin girls! In Numbers 31 : 17-18 The same thing as Exodus 32 : 27-28 occurs! When Jesus heals you NEVER get UPDATES to check up on!

  • religion is on the decline becouse you cant be killed for not beliveving as you coulde be in the past.without forced conversion religion will continue to decline!

  • Hopefully Texas will give Perry the boot now!

  • Want to become an atheist, the quickest way is to read the bible.

  • The Western World has been under a spell of credulity and stupidity for the last 2000 years. It's about time we snapped out of it.

    This video is good news!!

  • FUCK PLP WAKE UP THERE IS NO GOD LOOK AROUND

  • Teaching religion to youngsters is the equivalent of mental circumcision..

  • @Hope2009pc Teaching? No. Indoctrination? Yes.

  • Self-Interest just isn't my style.

  • @filmjunkie998 Self-interest isn't your style, but you believe that you're 100% right & I'm 100% wrong? lol...

  • @ThePopeThePedophile what if what I consider good is irrelevant to 'good' or 'bad' but is instead focused on tolerance and love? I get nothing out of this but tolerance/intolerance from other people, b/c quite frankly, I have better things to do, but I am here to promote tolerance and mutual understanding, if nothing else. The problem is, no one is listening... this thread is just for haters I guess, agreeing to disagree is one thing, it is an entirely different thing to get scorned/hated.

  • @filmjunkie998 What if Atheism became a Religion, and Richard Dawkins & Christopher Hitchens wrote a collaborated Holy Book entitled, "The Book of Atheism," which stated such things as:

    1. Marriage is between 1 Atheist & 1 Atheist

    2. All non-believers shall be imprisoned where they will be tortured forever

    3. The pledge should read.. "..one nation under no God"

    4. The original pagan holiday, now known as Christmas, will be renamed 'No God Day'

Just put yourself in our shoes.

  • @ThePopeThePedophile that has happened in history, I am not disagreeing with you, I am telling you that no christian would force anything on anyone in the name of God, no matter how small. they aren't christians, the only reason I am here wasting my time is because I get sick of other 'christians' that hate and forcively deny people, even going out of their way to do so. I agree that those people are wrong, but I am only saying that they are wrong both on a Christians terms and an atheists.

  • @ThePopeThePed furthermore just claiming I am pushing anything on anyone is logical fallacy, I am not here for that & I made that perfectly clear in the last post, you pretty much summed up what I said anyway. I have my own beliefs and thats my business, if you want to know go to my channel. I am saying clearly that people who forcefully deny someone the freedom of choice in anything is NOT a christian or a decent person for that matter, just being judgmental of me b/c I am christian is wrong.

  • ThePopeThePedophile

    U said;

"What if Atheism became a Religion"

I don't know why atheism would ever be a religion. Atheism simply means; "I don't believe your claims of a supernatural god, based on absolutely no evidence!"

But if such an absurd thing did happen, it wouldn't be atheism! I would refer to myself as a non-believer, which I do anyway, along with being an atheist, simply b/c it means the same thing.

I was in your shoes much longer than you've been alive.

  • @filmjunkie998 The fact of the matter is, that's not what we do. Christians DO.

We don't want that, and we believe it would be extremely unfair. We just want equality. We don't want 'No God', and the 10 atheist commandments posted everywhere. We don't want you to have to submit to our beliefs. We just want you stop pushing your beliefs on us.

  • ThePopeThePedophile

    U said;

"We don't want you to have to submit to our belief"

"We just want you stop pushing your beliefs on us."

Are u serious?? When u say we, I assume you're speaking for all Xians? Do u speak for the 38,000 different Xian denominations world wide?? Wish you'd clarify that.

Your comment is interesting since we know that ID groups are trying to impose Creationism into our public schools. Btw, Xians, or Theists, make up 80% of the U.S.

    And u think u r religiously oppressed??

  • @Cootabux Anyways, my apologies for the long response to your question. But you see, you are debating with filmjunkie998 who says that "Jesus said there will be no evidence" Funny isn't it? We can now say something exists and say that there will be no evidence for it. Haha! What a funny logic.

Funny thing is, even within their religion they cannot come to an equal ground! I wish they would clear the confusion first within their organized scheme before coming out.

    Peace sir! and thank you!

  • filmjunkie998

    U said;

"this thread is just for haters."

I'd like u to elaborate on ur above statement.

I want to see how u get from non-belief of an ancient god who was a tyrannical Psychopath! (and btw, I can prove that scripturally if you come to my channel. You'll see my "proof" in my profile section).

The biblical god made laws & commandments, yet violated them himself. I'd expect such a holy being to set a perfect example of his demands of us, wouldn't you? I'd certainly respect it more.

  • @Cootabux

BUT to answer your question here in short; for every cultural movement, there is a counter-cultural movement of equal magnitude, when the balance is broken, bad things happen. Some atheists demand proof for the existence of God, even though Jesus clearly states there will be no 'evidence', and when not provided with evidence, some get hateful/arrogant, and Christians are the same way. To clearly show this stupidity to you, I will post a vid response to this, then maybe you'll see...

  • @Cootabux [PART 2] ....how morally hypocritical these stupid arguments are. Science may allow us the convenience of abortion or going to space or such, but what are the moral consequences thirty years from now? don't you understand that in saying "there is no moral objectivity" is not only a false assertion, but it allows freedom to people to do whatever they want, giving total moral freedom and allowing people in certain places to say "well, I think it's right, so therefore I think killing....

  • @Cootabux[PART 3] .....people is right, so therefore it is okay to kill people." do you know how morally STUPID that is? honestly, think about it. Proving that morality is objective is easy actually, human beings are all scientifically hardwired to have "Basic instincts," these instincts are simple according to pretty much every other evolutionist, that self-preservation is the the most important

From that it is easily proven that every human being has the same moral objective: self preservation

  • @Cootabux[FINAL PART] ....or, as I like to call it; selfishness. and in that I mean, whatever helps número uno; including but not limited to: LUST, GREED, GLUTTONY, SLOTH, WRATH, ENVY, PRIDE, etc...

So human nature is selfish, what does that make a true Christian, the exact opposite. Christians are to be self-less, not selfish, because that is what the original sin was, as well as every other sin ever committed. So please consider what you are saying on a public web page, its a pandora's box -_-

  • @filmjunkie998 I just read the whole thing you said to Cootabux. Humans aren't to be blamed. We never asked god to create us in the first place. The root of everything is god. It is god who failed to eliminate Satan during its betrayal despite being all powerful. It is god who failed to foresee satan's betrayal despite being all knowing. It is god who made humans imperfectly and punishes it for acting accordingly despite being all loving.

The root of it all IS GOD. None of your arguments matter

  • @12InchesUnBuffed

Satan didn't 'betray', he was always evil, just as God is always good, if I created an idea right now, there would be a counter-idea created just to oppose it. In that likeness, as long as God exists, the IDEA of satan will exist, as satan opposes God. God did not make humans imperfectly, Humans chose to be selfish, not God. God gave them a choice, that's why he didn't just hardwire Adam and eve not to sin. That's why the old testament was written, to show the differences.

  • @filmjunkie998 "Satan didn't 'betray', he was always evil, just as God is always good,"

-No, satan was a former angel of god. an archangel who dedicated itself to god, but then betrayed god. But now if you're saying satan didn't betray and was always evil. While god is the only creator, that makes things simple. God then created satan an evil being.

Again your arguments don't matter because we never asked god to create us nor did we ask god to give us free will only to suffer.

  • @filmjunkie998 Your god created evil to screw up humanity. Humans chose to be selfish? with god's infinite powers, it is certainly possible to make humans retain their freewill while taking out their qualities of selfishness.

Bah, I won't even try to explain the rest. because you are to thick headed to understand what i'm saying in depth.

Your very own definition of god will refute your own arguments.

too bad ur god is too powerless and lacking in every aspect.

i can even do better LOL

  • @12InchesUnBuffed funny, where does it say that when god was creating everything that he particularly created satan as an archangel and satan betrayed him? and just to debunk your entire theory about God creating evil, who was the first to kill according to the bible? God created the tree of knowledge to give human beings a choice on what it was they wished to do. And FYI, that's why Jesus died on a cross, to show people it CAN be done, that people can be selfless through him alone.

  • @filmjunkie998 "he particularly created satan as an archangel..."

-If I remember correctly, I believe it is in Ezekiel 28:15.

Also, I remember this story was indoctrinated to me as a child. I lived in a religious household, and I had a lot of questions with regards to this supernatural stuff. And I was answered with these brain washing stories.

Haven't held the bible for a long time now, so I can't recall everything. But do try to check out ezekiel 28:15, not sure if that's the one.

    Enjoy.

  • @12InchesUnBuffed

"15You were blameless in your ways From the day you were created Until unrighteousness was found in you."

No, I don't think that has to do with satan really at all. Besides this Genesis Chapter one verse 26 explicitely states that Human beings have power over all the animals, even the 'snake' so yes, even if God did create satan (that is if you consider the snake satan) human beings still had the power to defy the 'snake'.

  • @filmjunkie998 "even if God did create satan ..."

-Are you really that dense? Thought I've ended our discussion already? First you fail to look at your god's definition. All powerful, all knowing, all loving, perfect.

Adam and Eve who had no clue what evil or good was, were expected to defy the snake? They didn't even know it was a threat?

God knew all this. Apparently God is so powerless to defy the snake. In fact allowed it to get into the paradise

    Fail God.

    Fail Arguments.

    HILARIOUS! LOL

  • @12InchesUnBuffed oh really, because that isn't how I define God. If you are defining God your way, perhaps you aren't looking at the issue from the right basis in the first place. If you just hunk me into the giant group of people that are ignorant of what God is you're wrong. Adam and Eve apparently did have power over the snake; and obviously God is allowing free will anyways, I guess he thought that since he gave human beings power over the snake, the snake wouldn't be a problem anyways.

  • @filmjunkie998 "because that isn't how I define God..."

-Doesn't matter how you define god. This is what the church defines god as. This is the definition of the judeo-christian god. Go to christianity . com for more details.

If you do not define your god this way, then according to christian beliefs, you do not believe in the biblical god, therefore you are a follower of your own personal god, which means you will go to hell.

So you better convert to Christianity now or else!

  • @filmjunkie998 "Adam and Eve apparently did have power over the snake; and obviously God is allowing free will anyways"

-Nice repeat of your non sense. Here's mine too.

The tree of knowledge was there as a bait to punish humanity. Adam and Eve knew nothing bout wat was going on yet god left them in the paradise with the tree of knowledge. God simply said " do not eat from the tree." with no other reason or a detailed explanation. Free will has nothing to do with god allowing evil to harm them

  • @filmjunkie998 "I guess he thought that since he gave human beings power over the snake, the snake wouldn't be a problem anyways."

-You guess? then you guessed wrong. God wouldn't have thought but would have known that adam and eve would be deceived by the evil snake. Also why would this god allow this evil serpent in his kingdom? Why an evil being in the so called paradise?

LOL, I am rolling on the floor laughing at how fail your god is.
