schuster47, you don't have to worry about Zhenya's pink leotatd, the new ones will be ready for the next competitions. She will also trim and clean her routines (did u remember her at LA Lights back in 2008? Well, she was way more messy than what she did in Tartu). seems I am not the bitchiest person here. If you noticed I did not comment about her execution, I know she can be precise as a brain surgeon (although unfortunately you can't stay on top for long in this sport). What I am worried about is that unlike rest of the Russian team (and more like Shpekht) she had a nice choreo last year, from which I can hardly see a trace this year.
I prefer last year's routine. However, IMO, I like that she is throwing the ribbon more, and there are some interesting touches and apparatus handling. I especially like 1:16 to 1:19...penchee into ring pivot, I think? Since it's early in the season and with an injured leg, it's understandable that she is a bit messy. As the year progresses, she will probably become cleaner. Overall, for me, a decent routine with more choreo than her ball.
All the turns are 180-360, ribbon on the carpet, awkward pattern, excessive and unjustified use of feet and legs for apparatus handling, no choreo. And, from what I know about the life and career of Edith Piaf, she would simply smash somebody dancing THAT PINK to her music
