this is for newbies only, you get an idea about how to crack a software, YES. but u cant use this to crack any other software, other than really really old with pore security.

@whitemotherfucker Not really, this can crack ANY type of Software, previous or new security doesn't matter, hackers do things similar to this, except they have to make their own to make it look like they are more tougher then the company. Driver Detective for an example, has a very good security protector, I cracked the registration code with this program. I got to scan for critical damaged drivers and fix them. It is easy as pie to do this.

Most of the time there are no strings to look for at all or they are all decoys and you need to handle possible packer first. Idk if you put notice about this (watched first 3min) but there are other ways too to find registration routine (e.g. call/system stack). Good introduction, surely helps some people. RCE (forgive me but i dont care about cracking) is especially useful when you want to get good insight how to protect your application from nooby crackers (it can still be cracked...).

I try to follow this tutorial. The program is Farm Helper v 1.7. I am stuck at the point where I should find text in W32Dasm (2:20), which is displayed when a wrong license key is entered. I should find "Invalid License!". I can't find this or any text, which I can see when I use the program. In W32Dasm I can see lines similar to this:

There are always unreadable symbols between the quotes.

Beats my method of doing it... Opening up the file in a hex editor and NOP-ing random things until I get the result I want xD

Basically, when you find your line, you go to the very end of it by pressing F3 until the last 2 numbers are selected, then type 90.

Then, you press the UP arrow key, bringing you back to the start of that line. Now keep typing 90 until you see the other yellow 90 further down the box.

You should then have 6 90's in a column ;)

when he says up to the last 90 i think he means up to the last value that isnt new because when you edit it to 90 new things come up and those have to be made 90 up until you reach the non new one..
