  • este video tiene mucho erroresno sabe tiene que mejorara

  • That was cool. Now play "Ballade". it's from the same composer, Freidrich Burgmuller.

  • Thanks for standing up for me. And yeah, I'll be uploading "Ballade" as soon as I have the time. :)

  • Awsome! I love that song. Can't wait!

  • Let me tell you a secret...if you wanna play something classical...you gotta crank up the difficulty...this is like...standard for 6 year olds in Europe, no joke. Your profile says your 17. At your age you should be playing Chopin Etudes or some prelude and fugue by Bach. Also, another secret, this isn't a song. A song is sung, but you're not singing this, you're playing it. A song is music mainly for the voice, if there's no singing, then it's not a song.

  • Just because I'm older and I've played longer doesn't mean I'm a master at piano. I'll admit that this piece is pretty easy, but I don't think I can handle something as complex as Bach. But yes, I'll try to crank up the difficulty like you said. Thanks for the comment.

  • I think you did a good job, considering you abridged the song (the full song is more than twice as long, and therefore more difficult).

  • Well, if it's not a song, then what exactly is it? If I saw that u were 17 and made a video of an easy song on any other instrument, i wouldn't insult u like that. Actually, ur insult makes as much sense as saying to me "You are 17 and played a guitar at least once? then since ur that old, you should be playing as good as Joe Satriani or Slash". That example applies for every age and every instrument.

  • First of all, nobody can take you seriously with that grammar, and also by you calling everything a "song". Not everything is a song. Like I said, a song is something that has a human voice, and that is centered around the human voice. The reason why it's been so often used these days is because most popular music contains songs: a composition, centering around the main part, the human voice, with instruments accompanying it. Is there a human voice here? No. Therefore it's not a song.

  • If it's not a song, then what exactly is this? It's an Arabesque. Yeah, an Arabesque is a type of music. This piece doesn't have a name, it's just called Arabesque. If it was a song, it would probably be called "Song". I mean, most music never had names. Just like Beethoven Symphony No. 9. It's called that because it just happens to be the Ninth symphony he wrote, there's no name. But notice that it's not a song, it's a symphony. Big difference.

  • Your obviously very well informed but your so condescending and douche baggy about it that the points you make get lost in your delivery. You might be right about the definition of the word song but there is absolutely no reason to come to this video and bash on Zach for playing an "easy" song. I'm sure some of the things I do easily are more difficult for you.

  • I wouldn't know, you don't even have any videos up, you only have favorites, so I wouldn't know what's "more difficult". And yeah, I make my point about what a song is because it's annoying as hell to have uninformed people calling something what it's not. That's like me calling Shakespeare's The Tempest a musical. Or like calling just any movie a documentary. I mean, people don't know that because their so misinformed.

  • If Beethoven's 9th was a song, it would be called "Song No. 1" (if he had written only one that is). Für Elise isn't a song, it's a bagatelle, a short piece, in this case, for the piano. A song ≠ a Symphony. A song ≠ an Arabesque. A song ≠ a Prelude. A song ≠ a Ballade. A song ≠ a Concerto. A song ≠ anything without a human voice. Yeah, Beethoven's 9th has singing in it, but it's still a symphony, otherwise it wouldn't be called SYMPHONY No. 9. Get it straight, dude.

  • So knowing the difference between a song and not a song some how makes you better than us. It's absolutely fine to shit talk ignorance rather than inform. I get it man... sweet attitude.

The shittiest thing here is that zach seems like a nice guy but you don't fucking care, he doesn't know the things you do.

  • I never said I didn't care...I'm just not mentioning him because yeah, he's a nice guy, no need to bash him. The only reason I came back to comment was because of Musoumaru.

  • I actually use proper grammar most of the time, even on comments like this. I just happened to be in a rush to get offline so I wouldn't get yelled at for being on too long.

  • Should I get annoyed at everyone who doesn't know everything, or at least just everything about 1 topic, that I do? In 9/10 cases, the answer is NO. For example: I like the video game seriesThe Legend of Zelda. Should I go to every Youtube video about said topic, not even forums on other sites, and yell at everyone who doesn't know as much about Zelda games as much as I do, or at someone who got just one fact wrong? NO.

  • That would not only make me a smart-ass, much like you are right now, but would literally take FOREVER. No-one's perfect, and yes, that includes you. It even includes me. But still, that would be as productive as you going to music-related videos on this site only, and doing what you're doing right now. By that, I mean correcting and putting down those who may not know as much or aren't as talented as you. I think Zach and Curved lines are 100% right. Go bother someone else.

  • I'm not even bothering him anymore. None of these comments are directed at him, you guys keep saying I "keep on bothering him" even though only my first comment was directed at him, the rest are directed at you guys because you decided to reply to a comment I made that was left alone for quite a while, which means, I completely forgot about him.

  • Who said you were bothering him? I certainly didn't. I was actually talking about you bouthering curvedlines and myself. That goes to show some people don't have good analytical skills or reading comprehention skills.

BTW, I spoke to every (6) music teacher at my school AND my own piano teacher (all of which graduated some kind of music collage). They all made a statement similar to this: "If it's music, it's a song. There are just different types of songs." I guess that makes you wrong.

  • Alright, well I certainly hope you don't think music teachers from a school are legit references. I mean you never hear real legit musicians like Esa-Pekka Salonen or Yefim Bronfman, Vladimir Horowitz, Arthur Rubinstein, Sviatoslav Richter, etc., you don't hear them using that word unless it REALLY is a song. Let me rephrase what they wanted to tell you: "If it's music, it's a piece, there are just different types of pieces, a song being one of those types."

  • song (sông, sng)

    n.

    1. Music

    a. A brief composition written or adapted for singing.

    b. The act or art of singing: "broke into song."

    2. A distinctive or characteristic sound made by an animal, such as a bird or an insect.

    ww w. thefreedictionary . c om/Song

    There's my source

(there are spaces because YouTube won't let me just straight up put a link)

See? It's SINGING ONLY. Next time, look it up yourself instead of using bad sources. 99% of music teachers in schools are terrible anyways.

  • And you got that definition from the internet. The internet also told me pigs can fly. You get the point. Not a reliable source. Try the definition from a REAL dictionary. Or get proof from your "real legit musicians like Esa-Pekka Salonen or Yefim Bronfman, Vladimir Horowitz, Arthur Rubinstein, Sviatoslav Richter, etc."

  • HAHAHAH! You call the most respected musicians of all time not "reliable sources". You want me to look in a real dictionary? Sure! Alright let's pull out my dictionary here..

Song (song) n. A piece of poetry to put to music; the act of sound or singing.

So it's still saying a song is something with lyrics, this case it says "poetry".

It still amazes me though...that you actually think your teachers from those reject schools are "more reliable" than Salonen or Bronfman, etc.!

  • That's not what I said. I said the INTERNET is not a reliable source. If one of your artists walked up to me right now and said I was wrong, I would admit I was wrong. You even pulled out a dictionary to prove me wrong, which I now see. That still, however, doesn't excuse you from being a smart ass. Would you like it if I pointed out every miskake that I saw in your videos? If not, then don't do it to other people.

  • Look up "Salonen Piano Concerto: Interviews".

Tell me how many times they used the word "song". I mean seriously, this is something that doesn't need proof. Let's put it this way. A song is sung, a PIECE is played. And the word "song" comes from a German word which means "music for the voice". I wouldn't trust your teachers with defining musical terms unless they were from Juilliard or a European music conservatory, otherwise they won't be taken seriously.

  • Also lay off with the harsh critisism. Zach may not mind, but one day you're gonna say the wrong thing to the wrong person.

With that, let's end this dumb argument. I'm tired of it. And I'm not saying that just because you were right about the definition of "song". I'm just saying that when you look at the argument from a 3rd person's perspective, it seems kind of stupid.
