呂老師住在洛杉磯、身體很健康、精神也很好、仍然經常演出、只是­近年比較專注在古琴上。他上個月才應香港文化局之請、專程回港表­演琵琶。他在洛杉磯指導春雷國樂社、每個暑假還去北加州指導夏令­營、仍然不遺餘力推行國樂。

Yes, Mr. Lui is still active in the L.A. community of Chinese music, and he still performs publicly. Although, in recent years he focuses more on guqin. And, yes, he is such a gentleman, a true master from within.

What a surprise to see Mr. Lui on YouTube. I heard him play many times between 25 and 35 years ago in San Francisco, when he would come up from Los Angeles. He was always a gentleman, very friendly despite the fact that he was famous. It makes me feel good to see him looking healthy and still proficient. Thank you for sharing.

I have seen Mr Lu in HK when he was much younger. He was my sister's Pipa teacher.

Well, even though he is my teacher, I will not say that. Why? It really depends on your goals. Music is never who is best, it is just what you ARE. Simple as that.

I can hardly recall any music master's student will be another master, music sometimes is not easy to understand.

Sorry I don't quite understand. It's inevitably so that not all of a master's student will become master's themselves, that involves many factors...
