Lets drop racing, & look at true power. I have a 91 Talon that is putting down 472 AWHP, running on 93 octane pump gas, 22 mpg highway, 16 city.... V8 thirst... Take a look on youtube for stock Z06 dyno, only 360-450 RWHP. I agree that the Corvette is more reliable than any DSM out there, but the fact that a car with under $10,000 in modifications can put down greater power than a car priced at $40k which half the cylinders & displacement is pretty damn impressive.

For high 10s/low 11s you would need something like: 16g, 20g, 50 trim, etc. turbo $800, injectors $300, fuel pump $100, engine management $200, exhaust cut out $250, intake & filter $100, intercooler $200-500, clutch $400, boost controller $30, and misc gauges, etc. That's less than $2500. That's probably bare minimum cost (unless car is gutted), but it can and has be done. Even with the stock turbo (14b) 1gs have run 10s.

Well a Z06 runs mid 11's with stock tires and 10.74 on drags, and that talon runs like 13's. Final conclusion: Z06 needs a driver or some drags.

@ladygodia Ricers? Based on what? The car is a domestic btw. For high 10s/low 11s you would need something like: 16g, 20g, 50 trim, etc. turbo $800, injectors $300, fuel pump $100, engine management $200, exhaust cut out $250, intake & filter $100, intercooler $200-500, clutch $400, boost controller $30, and misc gauges, etc. That's less than $2500. That's probably bare minimum cost (unless car is gutted), but it can and has be done. Even with the stock turbo (14b) 1gs have run 10s.

LustyJusty.... What I meant was.... Run something that can hook i.e. another AWD vehicle or someone who knows how to drive. I have a Jeep SRT8 that runs low 12's. I'd rape both of those cars from a dig. It's no secret those two cars can't hook and he's gonna win. That's the obvious advantage of AWD vs. RWD. I can't stand roll racing. It's for pussies. I never said anything about roll racing. I said run something that can hook.

First one I got was an 01 vette. z06 for 30k flat. Tell it the max price is 30k too. Not that hard to find a 30k z06, the only time vettes are like 50-60k is brand new faggot

Vette=slow take off. Rolling Start 500 horses makes u eat sh*t. The Vette is a world class car from the factory, put it on the track and the Vette runs circles around it. However, props for smashing him at the start, anyone that knows how to race would have enough sense to not race an AWD car in a short race.

wow ladygodia move on really? like the guy got beat shit happens my cobalt ss lost to a viper but i was like 2 cars behind which was the saddest part. These old fucks buy a super fast car and dont do any mods which is why in this video he lost. You have to look at it from the kids stand point. also to let you know the the one that races the viper is a hoslet turbo off a 2002 and under dodge cummings. Super nice set up they push 30psi all day and 20psi is like 30 on a 16g with way less load on the engine
