Hand brake turn is only a quick yoink to break traction of the rear wheels. The pendulum effect of carry speed does the rest. Centre diff has no issues, its only a factory 6kg unit, and a dime a dozen :-)

i am hoping/sure that you have a different center differential to be able to initiate that e-brake turn. do you? because my understanding is that the standard wrx center diff does not temporarily open and could break if you keep stressing that center diff.

Straight cut gear set. That's why u hear a whine, standard wrx box doesnt sound like that. And Tanaka is wrong, they are rally cars ONCE they've been modified suitably, you cant rally a standard, off the showroom floor rex without issues.

Gearbox was a holinger straight cut dogbox - thats the whining you hear. No syncro's.
