Actually, the Uke is pretty different from a guitar. It is smaller, but it also only has four strings and they are tuned differently than a guitar. There are also other sizes, his is just the most popular, the concert or Soprano ukulele. Banjos can have five strings and don't have the same sort of resonance or sound as a ukulele or a guitar.

@vindicated198 No, it's the same like guitars - they go out of tune after a while coz the strings stretch, but they're not too hard to keep in tune. Sounded in tune to me, though - and I have relative pitch, so out of tune is quite painful and I wouldn't have watched :P
