In Shadow of the Colossus can anyone tell me what the purpose of the secret garden is? I've been up there tons of times but can't get any higher or do anything, so why was it even made??

people, if u have made it to the secret garden, then don't even bother crossing the bridge. all that is there is the passage u first came from not allowing u to go through be the force of winds. took me about 15 min to get there.

hes using the vertical angle jump (VAJ) glitch, if you go up and at an angle to the left or right, your stamina will not go down at all if you do it just right, if not perfect it will make it reduce the amount of stamina used

Also, theres a secret, when you reach to the top of the corner, before going left... jump up into that bush, and you will sit there, refreshing ur stamina, before going to the secret garden!
When you jump at an angle you can lose a lot less stamina. Be careful when you get to the top though, the fruit that grows there permanently decreases your life pool.
There are stairs on the upper walls of the area too. I have always been curious about getting there.

Personally I think Ico is the better of the two games. Colossus was OK, but was flawed by its clunky, unresponsive controls (which nobody ever mentions at all).

You have to find white-tailed lizards for your stamina meter. If you have the time on your hands, go to the save stations littered around the land and use arrows to shoot down the lizards. The lizards' bodies will sink into the ground, leaving a glowing tail. Set your weapon-thingy to hand and press circle to pick up tail. Do this enough and stamina meter will be bigger^^. You can also increase health a lot by shooting down fruit in trees.

You can gain stamina (Besides killing Colossi) by going around and killing White-tailed lizards and eating their tails. You can usually find them at the save altars across the game, and some might have two (You'll have to leave and wait for the second one to spawn) and others are in harder to find places.

well it isnt a secret, its just a garden that is sort of hard to reach. i found it fairly easy like the second day after iu got the game. wiht out knowing about it form youtube or the internet at all, just free roaming

I was a bit let down when I climbed up into the secret garden, wish there was more up there. And I was even more disappointed when I ran all the way to the entrance to the Forbidden Land. BTW I heard that they fixed the side-jumping glitch in the European and Japanese versions...

the secret garden is a garden, there are no collusses there.
on one of the colluses, you can kinda make the colluses move where you want to go, but be careful, sometimes he refuses and shakes his head!
I wish there was a shadow of the colluses 2!!!!!

You can walk across the bridge. Once you get to the other side, you'll find a gateway that you CAN'T enter, it's really a bummer.

I was a bit let down when I climbed up into the secret garden, wish there was more up there. And I was even more disappointed when I ran all the way to the entrance to the Forbidden Land. BTW I heard that they fixed the side-jumping glitch in the European and Japanese versions...

I know, i've played both, but it was sad to me how wander beacame a baby, and he would never remember any of the battles with colossus, or his love with the girl.

Ico is Wanders descendent. Wander sires a line of horned offspring, presumably with Mono.

well for me, it took me i think.... 3 times to beat to get that stamina. and the first time i beat it, i didnt get all the tails. 2nd and 3rd, i got all of em
