i bought a new Acoustic guitar and because the strings arent broken into their really tight so i find it hard to tune it since all the strings are high pitched at first .-.

@xmariemacabrex Grab the middle of each string (around the 12th fret) and give it a few good hard yanks (not too hard), straight up and away from the guitar. Better to stretch them by hand right away than to have them stretch (and drop in pitch) gradually over days, which is what new strings do.

@GinaLadiee if your low e string is in tune you can eassily tune your guitar, while putting your finger on the 5th fret of your low e string, pluck thta string and the next string (a) the a string should match the sound of the 5th fret on the low e string, the same rule apllies for a,d,g

If you cant plug it in...most electric tuners or chromatic tuners have a option where you can plug it in your amp and play by sound and the needle will move...or!!! just play it acoustic styyle....but if you use amp..make sure everything is clean
