im tired of getting bad flat top haircuts, i wanna show my barber your flat top style so they can see how a true flat top must look.

hello, Mannn you are very good with that flat top hair cut.. gashhh i wish my barber knows your style.. . i used to have 1 old old barber from high school used to cut me 2 years str8 , but he dissapear dont know where he went , probably he went to NY , im from FL and i go to some alright barbershop but dont know if they are pretty familiar with flat tops, i used to have it similar old times with my old barber, i have 1 quest. what size is that flat top i mean on the front is it a size 3,4or5?

Blow dry it in the opposite way it wants to go in each section until it stands. I don't usually use products, but a wax might be good if your hair is thick. If it's thin, use mousse or gel.

Hey slim got another quick question, obviously most of these clients have great hair for flat tops but how would you approach somone who doesnt have great hair for one eg. 5 different growth patterns, hair grows down and forward, doesnt like to sit still ect? your the master bro but im interested :)

slim nice hair cut like the flat top . see the tools you have an its seems like you like andis alot i just purchased a speedmaster an it kick my cutting ego a notch also the bgr how good of a machine is it with curly hair does it leave that smooth crisp cut all over

I dig the Bgr, but I use several clippers to help smooth out curly hair. I do most of the cutting with the BGR and then cut out any stray hairs with an Andis Ceramic Select. When cutting a taper with a wave, I use the BGR and go with the grain one length lower than I went against the grain.

There is no teacher like experience. I did probably 10 flat tops a day for 5 years in a shop known for having excellent flat tops. If you worked @ Model Barber Shop and weren't good at flat tops, you'd starve.

Awesome flattop! I'm a military barber; and do alot of horseshoe or skunkstripe flattop's; basicly very short alomst skin down the middle; but these long one's are my weakness; u freehanded the whole thing very impressive!

Thanks, the longer flat tops are more challenging, but I did use the comb.

I usually use Andis or Marvy Flat Top combs. The cordless clippers are BGRc. You can see more about them in my newest blog about clippers.
