Bless you, Primate Boy! This takes me back to twenty-aught-one, when my grandpappy would set me on his knee and share his beloved clippings of the Lol Cats from the Sunday funnies. Each one a full half-sheet of newsprint, now yellowed with age, but still brilliant, retaining the rich palette, the infinitely detailed line, the subtle shadings of the original creations. And now these treasures have been rescued from oblivion!
I can't believe people are actually trying to convince all us gullible people that this is a fake. OF COURSE it's a fake! It's obviously a joke. calm down and stop trying to be all smart and stuff and junk.
This is clearly a fake. This couldn't be a hand cranked nitrocellulose film from 1912 or any other era. And why would you add sound to a silent film (because no film from 1912 had sound) to give your critics something to complain about?
Absolutly fake. Film grain and scratches are easy made with video software. So the bouncing framing and the lighting.
If you watch carefully the hand motion is at >15 frames per second, while the bouncing and flash is much less. A real camera whouldn't did that. It's fake, and not very good.
I surrrrrrrrrre hope that cream defender was joking about them writing i'm so glad. That would be mr. skip james....... in 1930. THE ORIGINAL, which would date it right about the right time
What a joke. The author took a song from Cream's 1966 debut album "Fresh Cream" and got somebody that sounds like a Delta Bluesman to rerecord it to give the video that old time feeling. The video cannot be any earlier than 1966.
You mean the 2nd great San Francisco earthquake, the one in 1937, right? The one no one mentions anymore because all the press was in lakehurst New Jersey covering the Hindenburg's arrival, right?

It must be the real thing. Minute examination of the scratches in the film show that they repeat in a cycle.
Any fool knows that the cycle was invented before 1912.
Ergo: Q.E.D! I rest my case (of Beaujolais).

That song is pretty damn good for early 1900's.

Actually, the music is the original 1931 recording of "I'm So Glad," initially written and recorded by Skip James.
