  • Mr. Mulally, good deeds are good business. I appreciate the good deeds you do. My Windstar's holding up great. Thanks for the recall warning. I sent this note around:

I'm a big fan of Ford. They created the Windstar that saved my family's life from a dangerous truck driver one dark night on a curvy mountain highway. Wow, can that van maneuver like a race car!

When the American auto bailout came around, Ford Motor Company said No. They decided to stand on their own four wheels. And they won.

  • FORD I DARE !!! YOU TO TAKE A LOOK AT PATENT #7857290.

  • Okay Mr. Mulally, I'm happy to give Ford all the free PR advice you wish, as long as it's in public.

Employees wish to be empowered to do their best and to make their individual and collective wishes come true. Offer profit sharing; receive their idea contributions.

Employees wish to feel the passion of team spirit. Invite employee participation in all areas of production. Help them to help Ford create the car of the future -- the alternative energy car. Attend a party for them; serve apple pie.

  • "Next Twit"

    #haha

  • Ford Motor Company looks like the best game in town right now!

  • Big Al:

Don't bother making the Taurus (wrong name BTW...) a squad car. It will not be any where near the car the Crown Vic is.

  • Psh.

Someone should manufacture V8 Interceptors for cop cars.

  • Mullaly please import the falcons as your Crown vic replacement. 5.4 L v8 Boss RWD sedan.

  • I'm currently all GM in my driveway. Ford however, has been building some fantastic new products. I love the Fusion Hybrid, Transit, and the upcoming Fiesta. I had a 97F150 that I bought used that had a prior life as a CDOT construction vehicle. I sold it at 168k miles and the truck still ran like new. I only had to replace a fuel pump. It's sad that Ford is going to abandon the compact truck market with the discontinuation of the Ranger. Mulally, pls bring us a proper compact replacment.

  • Proud owner of a 2002 Ranger and when the time comes, my next vehicle will have the Blue Oval right on the front of it. Thank you Alan and to all at Ford for all you do.

  • Mulally came at just the right time for Ford.... he's a great leader who brings out the best in people and has transformed the company and the products.

  • Alan,

    PLEASE don't leave Ford!!!

  • One more thing, God bless you Alan Mulally and your leadership team at Ford. God bless the Ford Motor Company! YOU ROCK!!!!!

  • Excellent video! All I can say is that Mr. Mulally rocks! Absolutely brilliant move by Mr. Ford to lure Mr. Mulally from Boeing. An incredibly brilliant move by Mr. Mulally to lure Jim Farley from Toyota. Everything Ford is doing is working splendidly. I couldn't be happier for them. Can't wait for the all new Fiesta and Focus next year.

  • He seems like such a laid back guy.

I hope he keeps doing a great job at Ford.

  • He is obviously having fun being the chief...and major cheerleader. To remain in that strong position Alan has to be constantly engaged in product development and in responding and sensitive to owners. :) Jack

  • He named the entire product line. I guess you have to do that if you're the CEO. A for effort. C for candor.

  • As he said, "I love all my children."

  • actually he left out the Crown Victoria which is still being built, so he didn't name off the whole line

  • That's largely a fleet vehicle rather than consumer.

  • Nope. Crown Vic is officially dead.

  • so what is gonna replace the Vic? What are cops gonna be driving?

  • Impalas and Chargers.

  • Ford should bring over the Falcon

  • i think it may still be manufactured for law enforcement only. 90% of law enforcement use the the crown vic...but rick wagoner may get gay and suggest the fwd impala..lol i think the chargers look good. they use em here for highway patrol i dont see why not. law enforcement dont like fwd

  • Only highway patrol chargers have v8s, most police chargers are v6 ones. The crown vic always had the v8.

  • even if police decided to use the v6 it would most likely be modified for torque and performance just like the vic interceptors. if all went good this would be one really high score for chrysler. but the 6.1 would be top choice. for all police in this day and age with the rice and just generally fast cars...economy cars are now fast..its crazy stock 4 bangers pushing 200hp now. in the 80's u were lucky to pull out 90hp out of a 4 banger stock. police need a RWD unit.

  • yeah people are getting more outa small engines, like 600hp out of a SVO 2.3l.

But the charger and Impala would stand a change against the Falcon. That car is pure muscle.

  • yea its amazing how the 2.3 went from nothing from the 80's to something amazing...if i had a tempo i would put a new 2.3 in it just to do some sick burnouts...i seena fusion the other day just about smoke my ass taking off...lol i need to change my fuel filter and put in some new injectors..lol

  • The 2.3 is from the 70's i think, it started out as a 2.0 at first, but was later bored over to a 2.3

  • 2.3's now are pushing otu so much power..its why people are not bitching about wanting a v6 or a v8..but most of use like thev6 or v8's spencer onlylikes small engines that are silent....i like noise, pollution, sex drugs rock and roll, and i hate emissions they are gay....let the good times roll!

  • straight pipe a wankel rotary and redline it going down the suburbs

  • I wonder if Alan Mulally is reading our comments.....

  • yeah but i don't think the chargers will be used for much longer,it looks like Chrysler is bye bye birdy, and your right the crown vic along with the grand marquis and town car are all still built at the St.Thomas Ontario assembly plant up here in Canada,my father has worked there for 20 years so far, i can't see any real replacement for the crown vic as a cop car or government car or even a standard taxi, and the town car is the back bone of the limo industry since its the last of the frame cars

  • there is no replacement, GM and Chrysler are tits up, and Ford doesn't have a real cop car replacement, well they could use a Taurus, but they will suffer the same problems the front wheel drived impala's faced, plus front wheel drive is weak as shit compared to a rear wheel drive platform, there is reasons why trucks still use the old school platform, plus the crown vic body on frame is much tougher than unibody cars, why do you think good trucks still have frames, its because its tough

  • Yes the crown vic is an awesome cop car & uber reliable (I own an 03 P71) but it's not going to meet the new CAFE or safety standards, as well as it's actually getting expensive to maintain the old tooling for those cars since they haven't really changed much in 10+years. And BTW The 2010 Taurus has optional AWD & I think the cops would like that a lot, especially in the northern states in the winter. One last thing is the new Taurus SHO is RWD biased AWD & that could be used in a future cop car

  • i agree the new Taurus could be a replacement, but it may end up like the Police Chevy Impala (big repair costs due to the front wheel drive layout) there is a reason why trucks still have RWD, and i think the SHO is just a FWD with AWD, i don't think its RWD, also the Crown Vic is really the best option for law enforcement, on durability levels and size, now the new eco boost engines could improve the Crown Victoria's MPG, and the CAFE standards only pertain to 35mpg fleet average not per unit

  • i don't see where its expensive to maintain tooling that's been paid for since the 90s? i would think the Crown Victoria upkeep is way cheaper than the recent Fusion retooling or F-150 or even Mustang retooling, all the Crown Victoria and its brothers the Grand Marquis and Town Car need is a sheet metal refreshment, and interior upgrades, which would be simple to do,Ford can't afford to lose the Limo/Livery and Police/Taxi/Government business, the Panther platform is cheap to maintain and is tough

  • I'm really excited to see Ford going strong despite all of the economic negatives impacting everyone. If you guys are this strong now, I can just imagine once things turn around how rock solid FORD will be once again. BTW I found this video kinda funny. Mr. Mulallyy is a smart man nice to see sense of humor side of things too lol.
